The more than 60,000 housing units that we are building in Nairobi will change the face of the city, turning it into one of the world’s best metropolises. In Starehe, Nairobi County, launched construction of the more than 2,200-unit Boma Yangu Railway City Estate Phase 1A. The eight high-rise towers' project comprises 586 social housing units, 931 affordable units and 744 market units. The project, which is on a 42-acre piece of land, will have more than 30,000 24-storey units. That is how determined we are to transforming our country.

Ever wondered why your electricity bill differs from your neighbor’s? It all comes down to how much electricity you use —your consumption pattern determines your tariff category! Today, let’s focus on customers who use between 31 and 100 units of electricity per month (within a single billing period). These customers fall under the Domestic 2 (D2) category, also known as ordinary domestic customers. If your monthly usage consistently stays between 31 and 100 units, here’s what you need to know: 🔹Average cost per unit (before taxes and levies): KSh. 16.45 🔹Approximate cost per unit (after taxes and levies): KSh. 26.32 Important reminder: Your tariff category is based on your average monthly consumption over three consecutive months—so consistent usage matters!
