What is the Indian Army Honour Code ? What is the Chetwode Code ? I have never tweeted about these but today my conscience does not allow me to stay silent. We are told about the Honour Code by senior officers, including a Gen officer. We are told we must stand shoulder 1/n

@visionergeo ground troops before the assault or build up more troops - atleast a full Division and assault with it in full force. And be prepared for some casualties. Very feasible op but needs serious strength and dogged fighting. End

@visionergeo motivated men can hold off a ground attack of a Division for a long time depending on terrain. Indications are that US is going to use just about 3000 troops. In an assault like this you need atleast 3X1 superiority. They just don't have adequate troops. Either decimate 2/

🇮🇷 Iranian soldiers in underground trenches on Kharg Island are posting photos and stating that they are ready to repel a possible US landing- 👇 🔹 Judging by the photo, the Iranians have already received FPV kamikaze drones produced by the Chinese company Shenzhen Beizao Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. This model is equipped with a 5.8 GHz frequency video transmission antenna. 🔹 The only threat that the US would face in a land operation - unlike Iranian standard conventional weapons - is precisely the large-scale use of medium-range FPV kamikaze drones within asymmetric warfare and ambushes carried out by operators… Otherwise, Iran does not have armored vehicles on land, nor can it offer organized resistance within the framework of standard infantry tactics against the US elite amphibious and land forces - especially considering they will have 100% air support… 🔹 Thus, if the US suffers losses in land clashes during the capture of the Strait of Hormuz islands, the vast majority will be caused by ambushes carried out by Iranian FPV drones… It is likely that Russian operators experienced in the Ukraine war are already on site. Who can tell me about the Indian Navy? From what I understand, the Indian Navy has entered the Gulf of Oman, east of the Strait of Hormuz, deploying additional warships, including Visakhapatnam-class destroyers, to escort its own tankers, especially LPG and fuel tankers, through tense waters amid the Iran conflict. They're not pushing into the strait itself much, but meeting vessels once they clear it, keeping things safe without getting tangled in direct fights. Please share whatever you can add to this information. Stay safe! 🇮🇳

Significant, but still largely underreported, changes appear to be unfolding inside Iran. Members of the IRGC and the Basij militia, long seen as the regime’s enforcement backbone, are increasingly operating under fear. Many no longer feel safe appearing on military bases or wearing uniforms in public. At the same time, returning home is not always an option, as they fear becoming targets of precision strikes, particularly from Israeli or U.S. drones. As a result, many are hiding in improvised locations, even sleeping under bridges to avoid detection. Alongside this, there are early signs of internal resistance. The Basij is a paramilitary force designed to control society through fear. Now that same fear has turned inward, pointing to a deeper shift beneath the surface. The regime’s most ruthless hunters are, slowly but unmistakably, becoming prey.

The Times reports the Royal Navy will take the lead in a “Hormuz Coalition” to reopen the strait, with Britain deploying mine-clearing units alongside the U.S. and France. Interesting.

@PrinceOfGoodT Sir I think naval fighters can be used to combat the shortfall of iaf squadrons for example during the Ladakh standoff days mig 29k was deployed in eastern Ladakh.

Yes the deal is expensive and our carrier obsession at the cost of submarines is a bad choice. But at the end of the day IAF has a SEVERE shortage of fighters. So 26 new Rafales, even for the Navy, is an important addition to the nation's fighters. We need EVERY SINGLE FIGHTER.
Insightful Geopolitics@InsightGL

-#IndianNavy to receive 1st of the 26 maritime Rafale fighters worth Rs 60,000 crore deal by Sep 2026 -#India has ordered 26 Rafales for the 2 aircraft-carriers, the INS Vikramaditya & the INS Vikrant -Rafale (M) will eventually replace the Russian MiG-29K fighters

@Osint613 Demands 2-4 are out of the question. Trump will never agree to 2 and 3. GCC and Israel will never agree on 4. Agreeing on 2-4 would be madness. Op must be kept on till the regime is destroyed

@Rastapopulus_9 @Tej_Intel went back from the helipad itself. Ironically it was a INF officer Gen Sundarji who really valued Gen Hanut and ensured he got 2 Corps. Sundarji is under rated. Many or indeed most Indian Gens have huge egos. Hanut, Sundarji, Bhagat, Sagat didnt. True greats. Brilliant Cdrs. 2/2

@Rastapopulus_9 @Tej_Intel Yes. Many of his AC seniors branded Gen Hanut as a "religious bigot" just because he used to do pooja. His men and juniors worshipped him. Finest General we produced. Gen Joshi as GOCnC SC visted ACCS when Hanut was Comdt. Hanut didnt go to helipad to receive him. Gen Joshi 1/2

@Rastapopulus_9 @Tej_Intel Indeed. Gen Joshi had his faults - he did not let Gen Hanut rise to Army Cdr because of ego. But he did a lot like setting up RR, doing a lot to improve the lot of officers. Good COAS. I think there has been too much infantrisation of army at higher levels. We neet AC Chief now.

How is it that the Iranian regime the IRGC & the Muslim Brotherhood have way more fans and supporters in India especially among veterans and "nationalists" than they do in the Middle East and in Iran ?

@AnchitGupta9 Anchit, how did he loose seniority as AVM. Very unusual. In the army you would just not make it to the next rank, not loose seniority and then make it unless there has been a GCM.

An old school soldier of firm conviction, he took the blame for a junior-an act while Cmdt AFA that is rumored to have cost him the top post. To his credit, Brar would serve for two years under Dilbagh as his deputy despite the 6 months seniority diff between them (16/17)
