Today is a stellar day to leave MAGA. To leave, it is not enough to defect from Trump.
One must also:
1. Renounce the falsehoods, lies and conspiracies of MAGA politics.
2. Apologize.
3. Build up democracy, rather than tear it down, by making the continued case that we, as a people, agree more than we disagree.

The Texas and Virginia mid-decade redistrictings are what you get when principles of fairness and restraint are ignored in pursuit of raw partisan advantage.
The principles are simple: Politicians should not be drawing their own maps. And maps, once drawn, should stick for 10 years as the Founders envisioned. Legislators should focus on serving their constituents, not picking them.

Partisan gerrymandering is either right or it is wrong. To condemn it when your opposition does it but cheer it when your own party does it is a basic lack of principles.

In 2016, Barack Hussein Obama @BarackObama told Congress during his State of the Union address: “I think we’ve got to end the practice of drawing our congressional districts so that politicians can pick their voters.” Now, Barack Hussein Obama is pushing Virginia voters to do the exact opposite. Obama is running ads demanding voters approve Virginia Democrats’ new congressional maps, which are rigged to hand almost every district in the state to a Democrat. Not everyone in Virginia wants that. But, the vote is taking place on April 21st. The Democrats are redrawing their maps in response to Texas. But, Texas redrew its maps to reflect the will of the voters, exactly what Obama originally said he supported. Barack Hussein Obama is a hypocrite.
