I was just informed that my time at ESPN has come to an end, as I am one of the casualties of the company-wide layoffs. I've been here before. Change is constant, but the outcomes are uncertain. I think being "fit" is used in 3 distinct ways... 1 (Aus?) - As a short way of saying cardiovascular fitness. IOW, you could look at a Kenyan marathoner & say "that dude's fit!" Even though he could barely lift his fork. 2 (US - Especially favored in U.S. crossfit gyms) - strong, muscular, good enough anaerobic capacity to suffer their way through a WOD - form be damned! - & lean enough to not look fat. 3 (UK) - My favorite of all - really, really good looking 😊 When I say "fit" I mean number 1. I'll say "strong" or "fast" or "flexible" or "powerful" or "really, really good looking" if I'm talking about the other things.
