The Lancet study’s report of a first case on Dec 1 without ties to the market and 3/4 first cases having no market ties is highly inconvenient for their Huanan zoonosis claim.

2. Early outbreak patient samples flipped from Negative/Inconclusive to Positive in Table 2 with no methods change, no re-sequencing and unchanged totals!

@BillyBostickson If anything, it makes the epidemic appear earlier than it would appear under innocent circumstances, so I couldn’t think of anything non-innocent circumstances.
My guess is that it’s not super significant and just sloppy work but I had to at least mention it.
