Everything is filtered through: “How does this affect me?” “What do I get from this?” “How do I appear?” And then they wonder why their inner world remains chaotic. Meaning: self-observation, inner honesty, responsibility, the ability to see yourself without self-deception Because without self-awareness, the ego simply spiritualizes its own impurities. And that is what much of modern spirituality actually is: unpurified desire pretending to be higher knowledge. Occult development does not automatically make you higher. It magnifies whatever already lives inside you. Purification is the work of many lives, but each impulse you refine in this one becomes a light that guides the next.
