Today at a rally & press conference calling on @NYCMayor to follow the law and fully implement #CityFHEPS, a campaign of our Homelessness Union’s work to #EndHomelessness, member-leader Pamela Stephens spoke publicly for the first time.

Our educators are rallying because they know what's at stake. Arts programs, after-school activities, vital support staff – are all on the chopping block. Federal aid wasn't a luxury, it was a necessity. And that necessity hasn't gone away. We need to fully fund our schools.

Like many Americans, I'm profoundly frustrated by continued Trump-era policies on Cuba. After 65 years of suffering under U.S. embargo, Cuba's unwarranted terror designation causes new hardship for the people of the island. The Biden administration must end this counterproductive policy.
