@MichealMartinTD @POTUS @WhiteHouse @GovIE The next general election can't come quick enough. You've just sat down with a despicable excuse of a human, protesting that it needed to be done for the Irish economy and trade relationships?? I actually feel physically sick. It used to feel good to be Irish.

The Shamrock Ceremony at the White House is always a uniquely special moment. Presenting this to @POTUS today, we remember that it is a symbol of a friendship between our peoples which is older than our republics. Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig! ☘️🇺🇸

@fintancox It's people like you, labelling any member of the Irish electorate as radical left, just because we have a different opinion, that are the condescending twats.

Thankfully Micheal Martin decided to act in the best interests of the irish people and not the boycott the radical left who couldn't care less about irish people and are more worried about a conflict that has absolutely nothing to do with us, were calling for

Despite mounting pressure on Taoiseach Micheál Martin from the Irish public not to visit the United States which actively and consensually uses Ireland’s Shannon airport for violations of international law, including bombing Iran, he made the visit.

@RachelMoiselle Have you seen the footage of the banquet later in the evening? Trump banging on about our deficit? Humiliation? While the guests laughed. Yeah, great job 🤯🤡

I was not worried about this meeting. Despite my serious objections to some of his decisions in recent years, Micheál is undoubtedly a highly tactful and skilled politician. He always performs well in such circumstances. He’s done us proud again, just as he did last year.

After Trump disses Starmer, Irish leader Micheál Martin jumps in to defend Starmer and encourages Trump to get along with him. Martin then pivots to defending Ukraine -- a country Trump also dissed earlier in the event.

@BrigidLaffan @MichealMartinTD Like you say in your bio. Your opinions are your own. Unless you actually ask the Irish electorate, what their opinion on the visit is, nobody will actually know. Personally I would have preferred that he didn't go. I think that the drubbing recieved at the dinner confirms this

This assessment of @MichealMartinTD engagement in the White House is so off- I guarantee the visit will be considered a job well done by both international & national opinion. The list of adjectives is just a word soup- Sad

The rise in energy prices due to the war in the Middle East has underlined how volatile global energy markets are, and highlight the need for us to move towards indigenous renewable energy Unless we do so, our energy prices will continue to be driven by global events beyond our control. We need to redouble our efforts to bring more renewables online, improve our grid capacity, and encourage citizens to help with energy flexibility, be that through solar panels, batteries, or flexible demand.

@DavQuinn So you think that President Trump is only disliked because of his party affiliation?? That's insulting to genuine people who are frightened to death by his actions. Stop pretending the situation is normal.

The annual visit to the White House is meant to be a light-hearted affair. If we decide to lecture all presidents we dislike (always Republicans), they would simply cancel the event. We would lose the unrivalled annual access.

Commentary Donald J. Trump Posts From Truth Social
Donald J. Trump Truth Social Post 02:58 PM EST 03.14.26 The United States of America has beaten and completely decimated Iran, both Militarily, Economically, and in every other way, but the Countries of the World that receive Oil through the Hormuz Strait must take care of that passage, and we will help — A LOT! The U.S. will also coordinate with those Countries so that everything goes quickly, smoothly, and well. This should have always been a team effort, and now it will be — It will bring the World together toward Harmony, Security, and Everlasting Peace! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Ireland: The wokest country in Europe All over Europe national days are celebrated with traditional colours that reflect national pride with street parades, national flag displays and wearing traditional attire. St Patrick's Day in Ireland, celebrated on March 17th, is a national holiday honoring our patron saint with vibrant parades, traditional music, dancing, and green attire. On 17th March 2026 Shannon, a town in County Clare, will NOT be celebrating St Patrick's Day. Instead County Council have tasked Shannon Community Partnership to celebrate "the Cultures of Shannon" and have invited attendees to play their own country's music, their own national colours and dance, wave flags and celebrate their own culture. This should be a national outrage. This should be boycotted. The unthiking Irish who clap and cheer on their own replacement, should be called out.

Good advice from Ted Smyth. 👇The Taoiseach’s visit to Washington is intended to celebrate Ireland’s ties with the USA over the past 250 years.
Ted Smyth@TedSmyth

Well said Larry, the annual celebration of Irish America is bigger than either the President or the Taoiseach @LarryPDonnelly That said we should if asked say we support the UN and international law but refuse to be drawn further, we are here today to celebrate 32 million Irish Americans and America’s enduring relationship with Ireland over the past 250 years etc

@TedSmyth @MichealMartinTD Ah stop Ted. It's embarrassing for our countries representative to go to the white house and acknowledge your current president. Any sane Irish person wouldn't be seen dead in his company. Don't give the excuse that it benefits our economy either. He lies about everything

Welcome Taoiseach!! Looking forward to seeing you in Washington No better representative of Ireland and our values of respect for the rule of law, decency, integrity, wit, and hardwork @MichealMartinTD
Irish Consulate NYC@IrelandinNY

Team CGNY is delighted to welcome Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD to Philadelphia for the start of his #StPatricksDay Programme. In the first stop the Taoiseach laid a wreath at the Irish Memorial in Philadelphia honouring those who fled Ireland during the Famine, and later helped to build the city of Philadelphia. Their resilience and contributions to this great city laid the foundations for the deep friendship Ireland has with Pennsylvania.
