Afternoon, class! Tonight I'm playing more viewer requested games, and we've got some exciting ones. TetraStar for Famicom, Out of this World for 3DO, Crusader: No Remorse for Saturn, and...Aleck64? What the heck is an Aleck64? Come find out starting at 6pm EDT!
English

@RingoUsvala Super Burnout for the Atari Jaguar! When I had a Jag, this was one of my favorites. Blazing fast motorcycle racing in the style of a Sega Super Scaler arcade game, and it's silky smooth and looks amazing. Give it a try!

@Nanashi61696 @DJAmamiya Managing your rows poorly on both attack and defense will get you killed quickly, yes. The game's developer, Sting, always makes interesting games, like Baroque, Riviera, Yggrda Union, and all very different from one another
English

@ProfBloomVtuber @DJAmamiya So I'm not just doing DPS and healing? Will not managing my grid get me killed?
English

@Nanashi61696 @DJAmamiya Your party and the enemies are arrayed in rows on a 3x3 grid, and your attacks can target specific rows/shapes. Skills are tied to gear, and you have control over when you choose to learn a skill, which can be used tactically. If all you do is mash attack you'll lose quickly
English

@ProfBloomVtuber @DJAmamiya So how does the combat stand out from other JRPGs?
English

@karinrin_ch Congratulations!!!
English

@Nanashi61696 @DJAmamiya Not quite a roguelike, but rather the dungeon layouts aren't fixed. You don't start the game over when you die, and things like levels and skills remain after a failure. The game's core premise is getting out of debt, and you encounter a fun cast of characters on that adventure
English

@DJAmamiya @ProfBloomVtuber ...of course; the first JRPG you think of that isn't repetitive is from roguelikes, the genre that says "fuck you, you use what we give you, figure it out" rather than "here's the move Kit you used for the 100+ JRPGs you played."
English

@onorisoft I understand 👍 Sorry to keep asking questions, but is the intended aspect ratio of the game 4:3 or 16:9? The screenshots on the website are 4:3, but many of your videos are 16:9, so I'm curious if it supports an anamorphic widescreen option similar to Virtua Fighter 32X
English

@ProfBloomVtuber yeah, that's about half of the money I will get from selling my game, so, no thank you. I won't spend $80 to please 2 or 3 people owning this hardware.
English

Elansar, a "Myst like" game for the #SegaGenesis #Megadrive Featuring stunning graphics! Buy the physical edition at Homebrew Factory => homebrew-factory.com/megadrive-gene…
English

@onorisoft That's a shame! I didn't realize how expensive they were these days. Your best bet if you want one is the Wacky Worlds Creativity Studio, that includes a Mega Mouse and can be found for $60-80
English

@ProfBloomVtuber no, and seeing how much cost a mega mouse on ebay, I doubt I can ever test this.
English

@Mawg_VT Chaos Legion for the PS2 dares to ask "what if DMC was a bit more like Pikmin?" and the answer is it's dope

English

@ProfBloomVtuber Hack and slash ala dmc 1 and 3, or RPG classics!
English

@BMittzzz Yes. Read the manual and you'll be off to a great start. It even includes a partially filled out map that you can add to while you play. Don't listen to anyone telling you to play with a guide the whole time. It's fun discovering secrets and gratifying to figure them out.
English

@_deceptionfalls You've probably played it, but TriggerHeart Exelica's Dreamcast port just got a fan translation recently, that's as good a reason as any to give it a play. I was testing it out on my Dreamcast and it works great!

English

@ProfBloomVtuber oh yeah ive played that one last year, super good stuff!! i loved the last couple levels and how triumphant they felt
English

@_deceptionfalls Many shmups! Check out Choujin Heiki Zeroigar on the NEC PC-FX. It's got a leveling system, very nice visuals, and what feels like an entire season of anime crammed in there with very high quality FMV. It's even got an English patch! It's a shame this was the only PC-FX shmup

English

@Nanashi61696 @DJAmamiya Dungeons are procedurally generated and strike that addictive knife edge balance between "I can keep pushing on" and "I should turn back before I'm wiped out" and I absolutely love that. Any RPG by that game's developer is worth a look, games by Sting are always unique
English

@Nanashi61696 @DJAmamiya Evolution: World of Sacred Device on Dreamcast might scratch the itch! While the gameplay is pretty simple, there's a good amount of variety in how you build and equip your party, and even regular encounters can be challenging, requiring you to think carefully.
