@hargthewizard @GyllKing I remember being in a cab in Dubai and the driver missed his turn by yards. Due to the road system it added 9k to the journey. He tried to reverse back and take the turning but alas got stuck the sand. He cried his eyes out as he knew he would get sacked and be sent home.

@MaryamBinFahad 2/2 that lack of “liquidity “ will have a huge impact on uae assets (-ve) and salaries (+ve) to compensate for this drop in liquidity. It’s still a great place but the impact will take generations to recover despite protestations from yoh et. al.

@MaryamBinFahad Maryam - it works both ways. Suspect you are too young to remember the GFC in 2008? Cars dumped in Dubai as Indians and Pakistani amongst others fled as the UAE economy tanked. The beauty of UAE is the agility and thr fact you could escape easily if needed. 1/2
