@emilybest Diverse groups CAN outperform homogeneous ones but it requires work and commitment. Allies with power are critical for change! The business case doesn’t get us as far as we’d hope. See work of Jamillah Bowman and others. We need more strategies!

The research is incredibly clear that the “value of diversity” is that diverse groups make better, more accurate decisions. @ProfKWPhillips work is incredible on this front. A question I have is: if you’re already making money, how do we make you willing to change to do better?

In today's @nytopinion, I wrote about the police killing of a Black woman in Texas named #AtatianaJefferson. If you have time, you should read it. And if it activates you, you should visit our #SayHerName webpage: aapf.org/shn-campaign 1/13

A BIG congratulations to Jennifer Richeson for receiving The Career Trajectory Award from SESP today, becoming the first Black individual to ever receive this award. As a biracial bicultural social psychologist, your speech meant so much! #StandingOvation @jaricheson @SESPcon
