Speaking in Munich yesterday on #HIVinWomen couldn’t have been more poignant. #HIVtreatment and #HIVprevention has seen real falls in global mortality, prevalence and new diagnoses over the last 10y. The PEPFAR funding crisis puts all this at risk, in particular for women. #STOP

What a week! I attended the first #WorldAIDSDay event at 10 Downing Street since 2007 where our PM pledged to make the UK a world leader in #Gettingtozero new HIV diagnoses by 2030. We are ready to make this happen 👍🏻@BritishHIVAssoc @BASHH_UK @NAT @THT

We must work together to tackle global health challenges. I announced £3.1 million funding to help support DRC respond to mpox and cholera outbreaks. As the second largest funder of GAVI, the UK will continue to press for vaccine provision in DRC and the wider affected region.
