Totally agree with this take. I firmly believe #TheBoys S5 is a good one. I think most shows if not all can never satisfy the audience in its final chapter. Because people do have high expectation when a series is about to conclude. And the way they judge a series in its last season is entirely different to how they would if it weren’t the final one. I truly think S5 is good. It was not fast paced but it was character driven. Not going to invalidate different opinions. But the amount of nitpicking happening this season is at its peak only because of so many different sections of the audience having different expectations. And sadly no show runner can please everyone.

The Boys actually is borderline unwatchable. The weird dog sex jokes, the way all the characters are just talking in rooms, the boys and starlight being the most wanted terrorists in America but getting into every vought building with no issue, endless conversations about love between characters we’ve already established are in love, endless conversations about how butcher is bad and hughie is upset. The second to last episode of the entire show feels like a mid season slop episode. Im so disappointed lol.
