You dont need a $3k Geissele.
You need a $500 PSA and $2500 in mags, an optic, and ammo.

@Guntalk @SheriffJim4445 So i didnt miss the reason behind the post: are these for carry or fun?
English

@Professor_bond @SheriffJim4445 This from the web site:

5" N Frame 785 FPS

@BShillyshally @monsterhunter45 You are reading too much into stuff and adding what you want. I'm talking about bullets.
English

@Professor_bond @monsterhunter45 Don’t be a coward.
Your position is that a conspiracy managed to suborn the ballistics lab and FBI, get a patsy to confess to the crime… but they couldn’t find another 30.06 to shoot Kirk with so that morons on the Internet wouldn’t cotton on to them.
English
As an actual gun guy, watching ignorant dummies on here pontificate about how bullets should behave is a hoot. Everybody who shoots a lot has seen bullets do weird stuff.
Bullets obey the laws of physics. The same bullets fired under the same conditions into standardized testing medium under the same conditions will produce similar results. However as more variables are introduced, the results will diverge.
And there's a LOT of variables. What type of bullet is it? There are a whole bunch of different kinds. They are constructed differently using different materials for different results.
What was the velocity? Was the ammo in good condition so it was close to the listed factory velocity, or was it degraded?
On impact, did the bullet tumble? Did it poke a hole and zip through? Did it fragment? How did it fragment? And each fragment has a different weight and shape, which can all do different things.
Then you get into the living thing getting hit, and it gets even more complicated because bodies are complicated. Some bits are solid. They absorb energy differently. Some are stretchy and elastic. Some smoosh. Some shatter. Some will do either based upon the mass or velocity of the individual bits which strike it.
And that's the SHORT version.
Anybody who says one particular bullet is going to do one exact thing to one specific target, every time, when they don't even know a fraction of the variables I listed, is full of shit and trying to sell you something.
English

@beinlibertarian they are a bunch of larpers with social media now. I'll believe they got something when they release it
English

@BShillyshally @monsterhunter45 I didn't comment who actually did the shooting. I'm simply stating that i don't believe what i saw in that video was the impact of a round fired from a .30-06. you guys can hash out all the other details, i'm not interested in that
English

@Professor_bond @monsterhunter45 So what’s the alternative theory genius? The Joooz didn’t bother to use the same caliber gun as the one their patsy used?
English

@tndbaker06 @EdwardDarson @MaxwellJadot If you're gonna bet your life on a semi auto get something like an A300. Cheaper to just get an AR though. bit more expensive to get an AR with a cheap can but still very doable
English

@EdwardDarson @MaxwellJadot Even then there’s a difference between a Panther arms M4 and Charles Daly…
English

@MaxwellJadot @tndbaker06 only shitty ones with the wrong loads
English

@tndbaker06 If you use an AR and don't live alone have the decency to put a supressor on the AR (still do it even if you do live alone). It's still gonna be really loud but an AR with a muzzle brake is gonna cause a lot of issues. permantently.
English

@OneBadDude_ Stop bickering? you mean stop pushing back on what government is up to? just go along with what is happening?
English

@Newsforce Melania doesn't look too happy with what she's saying
English

@monsterhunter45 to each their own. enjoy the rest of your day 🍻🙏
English
@Professor_bond You asked. I answered. It's not my fault that was a no brainer question.
And I'm not the only one. There's guys in these comments who have forgotten more about guns that I'll ever know, but guess what? They are agreeing with me.
English

@stoicglare @veizau hate on them all you want, but not gonna lie, century AKs are still fun. would i take it to war? hell no. will i have fun at the range? hell yea (and then police the "brass" with a magnet instead of one by one lol)
English

@monsterhunter45 We have diff opinion on what happened. you act like you're the only one who knows about guns and ballistics and therefore your opinion is right. We don't know who is right and i don't find your arguments persuasive. I'll maintain my original stance. imo it wasn't an '06
English
@Professor_bond Easy. 142 yards from prone on a man sized target is a piece of cake, you don't know his zero, if it was off or not, or even what part he was aiming at.
English

@monsterhunter45 what SPECIFIC variable will allow him to hit charlie in the neck slow enough to not exit but still be able to reasonably hit a target from 142 yards?
English
@Professor_bond You seem to be having a really difficult time with the concept of "unknown variables".
I've got about a dozen 30-06s and .308s, and sixty thousand rounds in my basement, but those weren't the ones he got shot with.
English

@monsterhunter45 If you believe the narrative that's fine. I don't. I find it really hard to believe that he had ammo so slow that it didn't have the energy to exit after hitting the side of his neck and still be able to make the shot. his zero would be so far off he should have hit the crowd
English
@Professor_bond Addressed in my OP. You don't know that either.
You don't know the bullet or load. You don't know the ammo condition if it's still running at factory specs, or if its degraded. You don't even know if it is factory or an old handload, and if so, of what quality.
English

@monsterhunter45 my 20" 308 has right around 2500 fps at the muzzle with a 168 smk
English
@Professor_bond You don't actually know where it stopped. You don't know how much internal penetration there was, or in how many wound channels.
English

@monsterhunter45 A fact that is not disputable is that the bullet didn't exit. We see that in vid. I'm a hunter, a handloader and I dabble in precision shooting (i don't compete but i like punching paper/steel out to 1000). I'm not buying an '06 didn't go through his neck.
English
@Professor_bond That's a friend repeating what he remembers a doctor unofficially telling him. And it has nothing about most of the variables I listed in the post.
English

@monsterhunter45 I've seen '06 bullets do weird shit too, but stopping in a few inches of flesh and bone? nope, not buying it
English
@Professor_bond See my entire post above.
"they claim" is a mighty fuzzy thing when most of the variables aren't public.
