If this is an honest question, I’d say: Americans are rooting against America because we facilitated a genocide and followed it with a surprise attack on a girls elementary school followed by attacks on universities, medical centers, more schools, a world famous pharmaceutical research center, a volley ball team, an unfinished bridge we claimed was transporting weapons and then a nuclear power plant. We are now promising endless attacks on civilian infrastructure. We are hunting and targeting anyone who might be involved in ceasefire negotiations. Most people do not pay enough attention to have absorbed all the propaganda about the U.S. and Iran. So people coming to this fresh see us for what we are: absolute monsters. And monsters must be stopped. That’s why people are rooting against us and for civilization to prevail.
Shaun Maguire@shaunmmaguire

How did we get to the point Where so many Americans are rooting against America?

The warmongering US empire really is a cult of death. I am not exaggerating. The US secretary of war says it openly.

🇺🇸❌🏥 Trump just admitted the quiet part out loud. During his White House Easter lunch this week, President Trump openly bragged that America is pouring billions into his war in Iran, so much that there’s “no money” left for daycare or healthcare. He framed it as fiscal responsibility: the federal government’s only job is “military protection.” Everything else, kids, the sick, working families, is a “little scam” for the states. Let that sink in. While Trump insists the country is too broke for childcare or healthcare, taxpayers have already spent $101.2 million on his golf trips in just 14 months of his second term. That’s more than two-thirds of the entire $151.5 million he racked up across all four years of his first term. He’s on pace to burn through $300 million by the end of this one. Each Mar-a-Lago golf getaway? Roughly $3.4 million — Air Force One, massive security details, the works. He’s already logged 110 golf days at his own properties. That’s more than a quarter of his time in office spent on the greens. This isn’t about federalism or “small government.” It’s about priorities. Billions for endless foreign conflict? No problem. Hundreds of millions for personal golf at Trump-branded resorts? Always. But American families struggling with daycare and medical bills? “Let the states handle it.” The man who ran on “America First” has made one thing crystal clear: “his” comfort, “his” properties, and “his” wars come first. Everything else is negotiable.

No other modern president has talked so openly about committing potential war crimes. Wartime presidents and their aides have usually insisted they were trying to follow international and US military law, even if they violated it in some cases. @ewong nytimes.com/2026/04/05/us/…

Feisty is proud to be a Democrat!
No surprise here! As of today, April 1, Trump's polling data shows he is doing a horrible job as president. His approval rating has tanked to an all time low at only 31%. Americans are sick and tired of high inflation and the hikes in gas prices due to his war. No other president has ever had seen such a low rating at this point in their presidency. He is a total and complete failure. #DemsUnited

The Army Chief of Staff, a combat veteran with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, asked Pete Hegseth why he was blocking the promotions of two Black officers and two female officers who had earned them. Hegseth refused to answer. Then he fired him. Nine U.S. officials told NBC News that Hegseth has blocked or delayed promotions for more than a dozen Black and female senior officers across all four branches of the military. Hegseth has now fired or sidelined more than a dozen generals and admirals. He is an out-of-control, unqualified former TV host and nobody in the Republican Party will say a word about it because they don’t want to make Trump angry. nbcnews.com/politics/natio…

Absolute insanity at the Pentagon. Pete Hegseth is so triggered by Pope Leo's anti-war message that he literally banned Catholic services at the Pentagon on Good Friday! The Trump administration is now actively suppressing religious freedom to protect their war agenda.

Reporter: “How many generals have you fired?” Hegseth: “I don’t know the number.” Reporter: “You don’t know the number? It’s eight. Why did you fire them?” Hegseth: “At the pleasure of the president.” The Secretary of Defense does not know how many generals he has fired. During an active war.

If I were in Trump's Cabinet, I would spend Easter calling constitutional lawyers about the 25th Amendment. This is completely, utterly unhinged. He's already killed thousands. He's going to kill thousands more.

TRUMP STARTED A DAMN WAR WITH IRAN SO HIS KIDS, ERIC AND DON JR, COULD GET RICH SELLING DRONES IN THE MIDDLE EAST!!! On top of that, he wants $1.5 trillion MORE taxpayer funds for his war, but nothing for American families. Y'all were mad about Hunter Biden selling a painting.

Fucking outrageous. And highly illegal. "Trump has grifted his entire life. Now he’s just taking it. The State Department transferred $1.25 billion in foreign aid to Trump’s Board of Peace, pulling $1 billion from international disaster assistance, $200 million from peacekeeping operations, and $50 million from international organizations. Money that Congress authorized for hurricanes and refugees, moved without a congressional vote, into a fund that Trump created by executive order and controls personally. When reporters asked the State Department about it, a spokesperson said they had nothing to announce at this time. The Board of Peace has one defining characteristic. Trump controls it forever. He named himself chairman for life. No audits. No transparency requirements. No conflict of interest rules. Countries pay $1 billion into a fund he runs to get a seat at the table. It has transferred nothing to Gaza, disclosed nothing about its spending, and received $1.25 billion of your disaster relief money without a word of explanation. When he leaves the White House he keeps the fund. That is not a loophole. That is the design." He’s Not Grifting Anymore. He’s Just Taking It. open.substack.com/pub/meidastouc…
