Update: Washoe (the less blue of the 2 urban counties) just reported roughly a third of what it has left (15K mail votes), and Rosen won the batch by roughly 15%. That's probably more than she needs in these remaining mail ballots. Let's see what Clark brings later tonight.
Taniel@Taniel

What we know in Nevada: —There are for sure at least ≈100K mail ballots left in Clark (55K) & Washoe (45K) —PLUS: Clark has not yet said how much mail arrived yesterday afternoon & today. So more. —Expect Rosen to win those batches big. —Nye should have still 14K ballots.

@zacharyreality This all feels like a teen’s first breakup. “Look at these texts”. “You followed a girl on instagram after the breakup” These are arguments teenagers have after a breakup.

Devin sharing these texts and deleting them prove nothing. No dates & cropped. And wrong to expose these. He should’ve said what he had to say on AFR while we were all watching. #thebachelorette #damagecontrol

Maybe you kids were too young to remember the early 2000's but Kamala and the modern Dems are DRASTICALLY further left. It's not close. I have no idea why you guys think we're going to elect the next Karl Marx rn This mentality sucks

@ECaliberSeven @NateSilver538 is pretty clearly the e who got the better end of the breakup… but who will likely ruin it by reveling in their ex’s failures rather than just letting the world see them flail.

@Rsalasor @CardozoThesis @ActualCorn I think it comes down to democrats polling the issue and finding out that being pro-immigration harms them significantly both with Latinos and working class Whites. They believed it would win them votes with Latinos and it did the opposite.

@CardozoThesis @ActualCorn It’s weird because they current Democratic Party is most to the left in all Issues than it has ever been, whereas in immigration they are most to the right than they have ever been z

Florida becoming red means Dems can be more normal about Cuba, but with Arizona as a swing state, they cannot be normal about McCain By 2036 DNC all delegates will have to pray to a giant golden idol of him so AOC beats Tucker Carlson by 4% in AZ

Which Palestinian-Americans would've had the best shot of speaking at the DNC? To stand a chance, they'd have needed a pristine record of: denouncing 10-7, opposing Hamas & terror tactics, empathising w/ Israelis, and having built the trust to ensure they wouldn't go off-script.

@MabongaTapiwa @lxeagle17 As a young male democrat... people not taking this issue seriously are doing harm to the party. Any young man lost to the Republicans is likely lost for a lifetime. And politics has to be about winning so we can enact policy.

Was saying this to someone else but Democrats have to be really, really thankful that men simply don’t vote as consistently or as much as women do.

@gelliottmorris If 538 is ever going have the trust of its readers, there needs to be an explanation of the mode. Is it ever coming back? Why does it say that there isn't a nominee? What is the issue?

About Kennedy dropping out: Our polling average model looks at the difference in polls that do and do not include him as an option. In this adjustment RFK takes 1.3 points from Harris and 1.5 from Trump. RFK dropout net effect is small — reduces Harris’s margin from +3.3 to +3.1

@JohnJHarwood Specifically, its bad that he needed to be pushed. But if the exact same thing happened with Trump, we all know he would never exit the race, because honor just isn't important to him.

@JohnJHarwood He was coerced. But that leads to the obvious question: what was the threat? The threat was losing and dishonor. It would have been better if he didn't need to be coerced, but it is fairly noble that a threat of dishonor leads you to major sacrifice.

this is exactly the point. of course nervous Democrats pushed him. but it still fell to Biden to make the excruciatingly-hard decision to step aside, and he did. it's not one or the other, it's both.

@SubtleBeats @portraitinflesh Yes. Those are written into the law. What you’re asking for here is for those in power to use their moral discretion to enforce the law as they see fit with no democratic input. You MUST see how a system like that ends, right?

@JustAGuyPlayin @portraitinflesh The legal system makes provision for breaking the law for good reasons all the time. We even have different conceptions of murder based on motivation - let alone e.g. breaking a car window to rescue an overheating baby/dog/whatever.

Sorry to be thick, but isn't part of the deal with civil disobedience that you accept you'll be punished for your actions? What did they expect, they'd simply get away with breaking the law if their cause is just enough? Imagine if the justice system actually worked that way.
