This is the second time this week that I hear from a large market maker and a stablecoin that what Cardano has been able to achieve in TVL without any major stablecoins is outright impressive.

Today we shared difficult news with the OP Labs team. Our priority was to communicate with the impacted people & give the team time to process the news before sharing publicly. This decision reflects a narrowing of our focus, not our runway. I’m sharing the note I sent to the team earlier today, and I strongly encourage teams across the ecosystem to reach out to the people leaving OP Labs because they are talented engineers, operators, and builders who helped build Optimism into what it is today. If you are genuinely hiring, feel free to shoot me a DM with your open roles and I will make introductions (with dual consent).

Open challenge to anyone: Vibe-code an alternative Cardano node from scratch in any language except Haskell (could probably allow haskell as well, but there's too much risk that it's just a straight fork). Vibe-coded will mean that: 1) the entire git history is visible from the start of the project 2) 90% of commits include their model and prompt in the commit message, with a "Coauthored by" tag-line from the model, such as what Claude code sometimes attaches 3) if it is written in the language of an existing alternative node effort (rust, go, typescript, C++, C#, etc.) then the MOSS and JPlag scores indicate low structural similarity 4) the above two are subject to reasonable third party remediation Deliver a spec-compliant block producing node ready for main net any time before Amaru or Dingo claim to have done this, or the next year, whichever is later. This means it supports all node-to-node miniprotocols and all node-to-client miniprotocols implemented by the haskell node at the time you make the claim, matches or beats the Haskell node in average memory usage across 10 days, agrees on tip selection to within a generous 2160 slots for the entirety of that 10 days, can recover without human intervention from a power-loss event at any time, and agrees with the Haskell node on all block, validity, chain-tip selection behavior. Give me a 1 month grace period in case I'm busy with other obligations, before I start testing your node. Then, from the time I start testing, give me 5 days. If, in those 5 days, I *am* able to: 1) get your node running and sync from either a recent mainnet mithril snapshot or genesis up to tip and 2) produce a valid block accepted by other nodes on preview or preprod 3) Execute the node to client blockfetch and txsubmission miniprotocols 4) get your node running in a private testnet including 2 other haskell nodes and I *cannot* either: 1) find a transaction for which your node and the haskell node disagree on the validity, or 2) find a block for which your node and the haskell node disagree on the validity, or 3) find a sequence of blocks produced by the devnet for which your node disagrees with the haskell node on the correct consensus tip I will personally pay you $5000 in USDCx or USDM, and vehemently campaign alongside you for retroactive funding from the treasury at the same market rates being proposed by any of the current funding proposals. I would offer more, but I've been making below market rate for my skills for 5 years in an effort to survive in this ecosystem, so I can't actually afford much more myself.

This is very important news and should not go unnoticed. Until now, when speaking with developers or companies about RWA, the preferred development network was often Polygon. This was not necessarily due to superior technical capabilities, but rather because of the ease provided by having a tokenization standard such as ERC-3643. Today, those limitations are being addressed. This development introduces a framework that, over time, can become a preferred standard and significantly simplify the commercial and technical decision to build on Cardano. Welcome, CIP-0113. Well done @Cardano_CF 🏆

A new Cardano Treasury proposal is live and needs your vote. This Treasury withdrawal of 50M ADA is the first tranche of the Orion Fund, a @DraperDragon venture fund proposal. The Orion Fund, managed by Draper Dragon, aims to develop, strengthen and expand Cardano's ecosystem and the Treasury through venture investments, ecosystem growth initiatives, and startup acceleration programs. We support this proposal which asks the Community to vote on this first tranche. Finally, the last major roadblock to broader adoption on #Cardano is gone. After nearly 3 years of advocating for it, a leading builder team delivered. @Tim38300817 @DennisMittmann Institutional wallets — with multi-sig workflows and regulated custody — are the key to unlocking mass RWA tokenization and liquidity on Cardano. This is how institutions onboard.

Cardano is now integrated into @ArchaxEx’s tokenization engine, a next milestone for Cardano's institutional infrastructure. This means: ∙ All Cardano based MembersCap’s Fund I tokens (MCM tokens) now sit within Archax's regulated infrastructure ∙ Straightforward tokenization of RWAs through Archax on Cardano is now a reality ∙ Any future tokens issued through Archax on Cardano start from day one inside that same regulated framework This is the work that bridges Cardano and the world.

There's a developer tool on Cardano called yaci-devkit, by @BloxBean / @satran004. Several years ago I gave it a try, and had a terrible experience, and bounced off it. Recently, I've been giving it another shot, and it's come a long way! I've gotten an incredible amount of use out of it in the last few weeks. Huge props to them and their community for sticking with it and building something genuinely useful and easy to use. Slowly but surely, the developer experience on Cardano is improving :)

Tokenization of private credit / debt is HOT right now. I met this week a handful of builders bringing this use-case to Cardano. After attending DAF London last week, one thing is clear. The crypto narrative is now behind us. Blockchain is becoming financial infrastructure.

Cardano futures are now live on @CMEGroup. A monumental step for institutional adoption.

🤯 BREAKING NEWS BFI (BikeFun International) has agreed to implement BIN (Bicycle Identification Number) directly in their factory production process. We’ve already presented the full RFID-based workflow for reading and tracking bikes during manufacturing. The next step is a pilot, starting with a small batch from one brand before expanding across the factory.
