@CryptoSA99 @BrothershipPool @liqwidfinance Think of them as portfolio managers, a necessary bridge between outside, new capital and the existing capital in the ecosystem. They are also becoming now the natural integration point for RWAs and institutional credit

They play the role of asset managers in the real world, but applied to a DeFi environment

These guys are real heavy hitters in the DeFi space. They are the definition of “the big guns”. The consultants that the tier 1 bluechip DeFi protocols and ecosystems (Compound and Arbitrum) used to win in the market. I have talked extensively about how if we want to see adoption, we need to win in the market as it exists now. That market is DeFi. I have talked a lot about how we need to give teams with real experience, and a demonstrated history of success in the market, the mandate, funding and authority required to execute in their domain. Here, the domain is DeFi, and AlphaGrowth is the home-run hitter. This will be the biggest market win in the history of the ecosystem. We won’t just be competing in DeFi, we will be slam dunking on the market.

They bring risk / parameter management expertise, and neutrality assessment for liquidity allocation based on performance, in a scalable way. Plus their network of external capital allocators. We're leveling up.

Tokenized assets are growing. But who benefits? The issuers, such as @tether, @circle, @SkyMoney, @Securitize, @OndoFinance, @xStocksFi, & more.

@phil_uplc @planetmaaz @yutazzz Agree with the fact that the bottleneck isn't rails, it's the destination. Cardano needs competitive DeFi and assets worth using, not just another way to move tokens. That's why this isn't just a bridge proposal.

@phil_uplc @yutazzz @planetmaaz Zooming out, and taking a 50.000 feet view, the ecosystem maybe needs to stop serving itself for a while and allow, sometimes,maybe, just a few external integrations in, so capital and the much needed volume can finally flow and the ecosystem be given more economic opportunities.

@phil_uplc @yutazzz @planetmaaz This is a list of companies that Wormhole supports. Some of them are not solely relying on them, some of them ARE. Securitize is an example and is committed to expanding to Cardano, as Wormhole is their exclusive cross-chain provider. I don't know what else to say at this point

what I struggle to reconcile is DReps like @yutazzz, @phil_uplc and others state that they want greater Cardano adoption, that defi is the key vertical for this But then go vote no on the wormhole proposal… Please help me make sense of this

@ProofofPierre @planetmaaz @phil_uplc Thank you. In your opinion, who specifically would want a cross-chain solution with Cardano, why, and how often? I had a long conversation with the Wormhole team, and this was the main topic.

@yutazzz @planetmaaz @phil_uplc Layer Zero has 70%+ market share, Wormhole ≈17%, with all due respect to Wanchain, this is not the same league, nor the same network of world-class partners.. Institutions move most of the capital across DeFi protocols (90%) More entry points are needed to allow capital to flow

thank you, There's some overlap, but personally, I'm not even confident that Layer Zero can generate enough transactions to justify its maintenance costs. However, that said, we might not know unless we try at least one. It's a high trial fee, but let's take a look. The number of transactions currently in Cardano for the cross-chain solution "wanchain" is a useful reference. In your opinion, who do you think uses cross-chain solutions, how often, and why?

Layer Zero is awesome but it comes with an empty pipeline and won't be ready before 2027. Wormhole comes with 4 world-class partners and liquidity.
