So how’d Bungie do with the Marathon matchmaking fix? Is it fixed? Or are we cooked?

@GernaderJake i finally unhooked myself from cross play, that seemed to help a lot just playing xbox players

In Update 1.0.6, we made a loot adjustment to the Security Clearance 5 room after the Compiler fight that didn’t make it into the patch notes - the change was: ➡️ Biotoxic Disinjector now has a low chance to drop in this room ➡️The loose Hyphatic Gel ammo drops in this room have been removed ➡️A Compiler Ganglion salvage drop has been added to the Security Clearance 5 Room This effectively reduced Biotoxic Injector availability there from 2 guaranteed to a chance at 1. Apologies for the confusion here. We’ll be watching how this feels in Cryo and share any additional updates we make in the future.

Hot Take Dissapointed most Marathon streamers feel obligated to play Ranked. It isn’t fun, and you’re exposing yourself to stream snipers & cheaters in one of the worst game genres. Why this sucks as a fan of the game, is that people are constantly exposing their fans & viewers to the worst Marathon has to offer. This isn’t going to convince anyone to stay on the game, let alone buy the game. The vibe from creators shifted from hyping the game & showing off the best of Marathon to an already burnt-out topic, cheaters & stream snipers. This isn’t blaming creators, honestly. It can be taken that way, so my b. I’m a fan of the game and avoiding ranked seems like the best thing I can do as a creator if I want to see Marathon grow. Ultimately, this is on Bungie. Always has & always will be. It’s embarrassing. Big talk about no cheating policy. They succeeded at baiting people with that & being one of the first extraction games with ranked. This is going to backfire badly if they don’t take some form of action. A game convo being surrounded by cheats, an extraction game, is going to do irreperable damage to the game’s image & their player morale. Thanks for reading. :)

@Gothalion Wild take. Honestly makes no sense. If you like it, play it. What game are you willing to commit your time to then, and why? Any game you don't play you'll form "rust". Pvp wise

I like Marathon a lot. The combat feels great and the world is interesting. That said, outside of the launch window, I feel like I have to play everyday to stay sharp and not form rust. Not sure I’m willing to commit to that. The audience that is willing, will. And love it.

BALANCE SHAKE UP! We're looking to make some changes in the next couple of patches to adjust some of the outliers in the combat space that we've both seen in our observations and heard from your feedback across all of the various (and plentiful) channels we watch. Some of these changes will be likely coming in the next patch, the next set will likely be arriving a week after. Here's some of the areas we're focusing on adjusting: - Bubble shields being too easy to get, too powerful to use. - The Knife scaling too easily to god like power levels. - Thermal scopes being too present and dominant - Snipers being too strong in all scenarios. - Giving Vandal and Recon some more oomph to match their counterparts. ALSO we're adding some stuff that can help add texture to the outcomes of fights: - SECRET: A new item to give solos a more common option when downed. - SECRET: A new item to give a more merciful option between crews. There'll be a lot more goodies in the coming patches and more details as the patch notes go live. Thank you all again for keeping the feedback flowing. We've still got a big list of things we're looking into that extends beyond this that will take us more time to figure out and we'll update you as we continue to build on our evolving plans.
