@FuuTop1 Yes. Their showcases picked up, their service games like Sea Of Thieves got into very good states, 2 Xbox games got GOTY nominations in 2021 (and FH5 that year), game pass kept getting better, Series S was a nice affordable option, and Bethesda + ABK were being acquired.

So the PS4 and 5 digital game system has literally become the Xbox One system and other the this one tweet… crickets. Reminder that Xbox One attempting this was an industry changing event.

Hugely terrible DRM has now been rolled out to all PS4 and PS5 digital games. Every digital game you buy now requires an online check-in every 30 days. If you buy a digital game and don't connect your console to the internet for 30 days, your license will be removed.

Bro you serious? Hard to remember when Halo games released high quality products on a regular release schedule. I totally get it, especially when cosmetic shops drive revenue, but yeah I think we all long for the days when Halo was good.

Hard to remember when it wasn’t always super serious doom posting and infighting and data mining and rumors. I totally get it, especially when it always drives engagement, but yeah, I think we all long for when it was about having fun and shared enjoyment of a videogame. We’ll get back there 🙏

Today marked the end of an extremely gruelling 2.5 years for my family and little boy, Fox. He is now 3.5 years old and he fucked the cancer up and is done taking chemotherapy. Today Fox rung the bell to signify the end of his treatment. Ty to everyone who has supported ♥️

Well it’s barely behind and will surpass it. 2020-21 weee COVID years and supply chain issues. Tariffs and the global economy yet they are still going to catch and it’s always already surpassed it where it matters, revenue. This has been their best financial console in history. That’s more important than number of units

@GenePark I think the whole genie comment is wrt gamers having to re-adjust to exclusivity again. Your average core gamer is just going to assume Xbox doesnt have exclusive content and it may take a while for the change in strategy to sink in.

Xbox reevaluating exclusivity at all is massive. Cancel those PS5 ports and make owning an Xbox desirable again. Imagine where Xbox would be if they released Halo 2 on PS2 because "it sold more". But because it was only on Xbox it grew the brand and XBL. Do that again.

This isn’t just about price it’s about usability. Nobody has enough time to play all the titles on Game Pass. Yet you’re still paying for all of them even if you’re only interested in a few games. No one is saying that Game Pass has no value. But personally I will never fully make use of that value and in the end I gonna just paying too much for something I don’t really use

Bending over backwards to find a negative in a service that offers an incredible value of $5000 worth of games for $276/year. Buy or sub to whatever seems of value to you. But it's undeniable that Day and Date Game Pass content is awesome!

At $276 a year, Game Pass Ultimate is the equivalent of 4 $70 games. 36% of US gamers buy four or more new games a year (Circana). Before the price cut, Ultimate was the equivalent of over 5 $70 games. Only 14% of US gamers buy more than four new games a year.
