FIFA's own rulebook: there is NO mechanism to appeal a red card at the World Cup. Also FIFA, 4 days later: the host nation's star striker's ban is "suspended," he'll play the Round of 16. A rule that doesn't exist for everyone else appears out of thin air for the USA. If red cards can vanish for the right team, they mean nothing.

This is an absolute disgrace to the sport and another reason why England and other European football associations need to walk away from FIFA.

Negative! Never left either and the Discord I build vanished. It doesn’t matter, both socials are not filled with real community members anyway. The old team that I was on couldn’t get anything delivered, we failed. But at least we kept the MC above 25m, with 4m in the Lp, a great treasury filled with money/tokens, and had a community to back us. It’s been well over a year and you along with others have completely killed Cedar with MC under a mill, little lp, low on tokens/money, and all of the community members gone except a handful. A real business person works with people even if they don’t like them to find a solution which you could not do with Sam. Yeah, Sam has not delivered Atlas yet but you couldn’t even form a DOA instead you mismanagement everything into the ground. Time will tell if Sam manages Atlas and its funds into the ground or not.

If a bank or card network is involved, additional parties learn that verification occurred. Even if your DOB isn’t disclosed, the metadata trail is real, persistent, and valuable. Privacy isn’t only about the data revealed, it’s also about who learns what, when, and that you did it at all. Trying to minimize this draconian overreach shows a major lack of understanding about modern surveillance capabilities.

The biggest lie being spread about age verification is that it’s some backdoor for the government to see everything you do online. That’s simply not how modern age verification works. I’ve worked with KYC, AML and age verification systems for years. In nearly all cases, the age check acts as a gatekeeper. It confirms you’re old enough to access a service, then keeps that information ring-fenced within a secure, encrypted system. The website gets a “yes” or “no” answer. It doesn’t suddenly hand the government a list of every site you visit or every video you watch. The entire point of modern verification technology is to prove eligibility while sharing as little personal information as possible. In many systems, even the verification provider itself has extremely limited access to user data. People are entitled to debate whether age verification laws are a good idea. But the claim that verifying your age for a website automatically creates a government surveillance database of your browsing history is misinformation from people who either don’t understand the technology or are deliberately trying to create outrage. Argue the policy if you want. Just argue the reality, not the conspiracy theories.
