Tomorrow, SCOTUS and the whole country will listen to the Trump Administration defend their white supremacist agenda. Birthright citizenship is a right, enshrined in our Constitution, codified by Congress in 1940, and rooted in a fundament of our country: anyone born on U.S. soil is an American, equal in dignity and protection under the law.

When systems fall short, people step up. At MidTown Market in Cleveland, I stood with Juanita, Rep. Shontel Brown, and volunteers who are making sure their community is cared for. Now we need leadership that meets them there.
