Enjoyed reading these reviews by @garyjkemp from May 1983 before. Agree with virtually everything said too. However, I was very surprised that a man who clearly knew his stuff didn’t appear to know that “Wherever I Lay My Hat” was a Marvin Gaye song.

Prosopagnosia - even in the mild form - is rather embarrassing. I spent 10 minutes enthusing to a woman about a music set she performed, only to find that it was the wrong person.

@musicsavesuk @ScrtDrugAddict Exactly where I am with him. Didn’t mind some of his songs when he was around and saw him as an OK bloke, I now think he was a magnificent human being and he also wrote a lot of belting songs.

@ScrtDrugAddict Never a huge fan of his music at the time, but the amount of incredible stories that have come out about his generosity since his passing makes me wished I’d appreciated him more at the time. Truly one of the good ones.

After my many interviews with various news outlets about gig etiquette, I’ve decided to print these off for my upcoming solo tour. I’ve not seen this done before (& I’m sad it’s come to this) but I’m hoping it will encourage people to behave. Thoughts?

@nickellis_music It was a game changer. There was already some fantastic music about in 1994, but this made lads want to play guitar again. Prior to that, lads wanted to dance, maybe rap, but not many could be bothered picking up a guitar. Many did after listening to Columbia.
