I knew the Senate would be a serious problem when they elected RINO John Thune as Majority Leader, RINO Mitch McConnell as chair of the Rules Committee and Susan Collins as chair of the Appropriations Committee. This was a massive "Fuck You" to the voters that gave them the majority. The division in the Republican Party was easily predictable. President Trump has had an almost historic level of control and dominance over the Republican Party over the last 12 years. It's unprecedented, frankly. Now that he is in his final term, there is a massive scramble in order to be the ones to fill the power vacuum that is going to exist when Trump leaves. Those who supported Trump when it was politically expedient will now oppose Trump now that it's become more politically expedient. That's what you are seeing right now. The ugliness of politics. Every grifter on planet earth is trying to become the heir apparent. If I'm being honest, I don't know who's going to carry the mantle when Trump leaves. Vance and Rubio are solid candidates and they would both be good presidents but they aren't Donald Trump. There will never be another Donald Trump. And that's gonna take some getting used to.
