That’s unsettling. 😡 But OT, I have a question. I see this a lot. People are writers, but they say they’re also an agent. I don’t understand how one can be both. And it’s showing that you’re repped at an agency other than the one you’re working at. How does that work? I’m not saying this to be disrespectful because I see it all the time. I’m just honestly trying to figure it out. It seems like being an agent is a full-time job.

No matter how polite or helpful I try to be in my passes, I still get these. I am ONE person and I cannot represent every manuscript that is sent my way. It’s just literally not possible. 😔

@whatever She sounds like she has Disorganized Attachment style. She is either avoidant or clingy. But, in reality majority of people are not attractive to everyone even if they are beautiful. Because it is so much more than looks. If good looking is where it stops, that fades.

Is it BAD for society that so many average looking women find a majority of average looking men unattractive? If we lined up every woman on earth and put her next to her male equivalent, 90% of them would be mortified. What do you rate her looks out of 10?

@GuntherEagleman Depends on the type of trade and what trade school. Some cost the same. You can often find entry level trade positions and work your way up, without the expense of trade school. They'd start at a lower base, but no debt. If they were skilled their rate would increase quickly.

One commutes multiple times, otherwise they say one day or on a trip. Pregnancies tend to last longer than round trip, it is likely she was offered a seat each time.

@lololeereverie I think men are frustrated because they used to only have to really compete with each other. Now women are competitors and victors. Women buy more books/read more/go to more readings/create book content. One can only compete if one is in the game. Hence, the cute chick's success.

@dmagillwrite @lololeereverie If you don't fit the profile you won't be asked. There are plenty of agents that accept the work of a WM if he queries well. Agents are slammed. The 1st to go into the trash are the ones that don't fit the ask. The reality is you won't be the exception even if you fit the genre.

@lololeereverie Again, to be clear, I don't get offended by it. And I still query agents even if I don't fit their profile if my story aligns with their genre preferences. I just 'note' it. Agents shouldn't care about the race or sex of the author. Story is king. Glad you found an agent.

@contemptuousbmf @CNviolations Good looking is subjective. Overall and historically members of Congress aren't good looking. So, I'd say historically she is likely one of the better looking people to serve in the history of our nation. Unless, of course you have a thing for crusty old dudes.
