The high-level summary of SB-1047 ("common sense testing") offered by Encode Justice sounds nice, but is sadly an inaccurate representation of the bill's actual contents: context.fund/policy/sb_1047… When you read deeper and look at the legal language in particular, a different picture emerges, one of a bill that has a high potential for abuse (due to vague definitions of "critical harm" which introduce strategic ambiguity (docs.google.com/document/d/10o…). This is being pushed by orgs which together resemble a QAnon of the left (special interests masquerading as activists). Not good for California or the world. Some regulation is good, though - AB 2355, AB 2602 are much better AI bills, for example.

It is not murky. His requests of Pence, his attempts to interfere with duly appointed electors - these are on the record.
