Ben, by simply encouraging responsible behavior, has completely exposed the LP for what they really are: a bunch of do-nothing loser larper leftist degenerates who don't have their shit together in their own lives whatsoever yet think they can lead a political party.

There are two types of libertarians: 1) The kind that want to treat business meetings with the professional demeanor it deserves. 2) The type that treat business conventions as virtue signaling opportunities and a way to show off their autism or degeneracy. Maybe it IS over for the LP. Nobody wants to actually behave like professional and mature adults or facilitate a culture of excellence.

Alternative (punk, goth, emo) cultures are about rebelling against the status quo, challenging societal norms, fighting for personal liberation and choosing to be anti establishment. People who are drawn to these types of communities would be naturally drawn to libertarianism. Why would we deliberately be unwelcoming to one of the demographics we should be speaking to?
Just say you're a sell out Ben. It's fewer words.

Human liberty is bigger than any one person.
Did Ron Paul have some solid libertarian points? Absolutely. But he also allowed those to be watered down with his racist newsletters, and homophobia.
He ran for the LP Presidential ticket once, decades ago, and moved to the GOP and stayed there for the rest of his career. HOW does he define libertarian in so many people's minds? It's insanity.
He was the first face of Rothbard's "paleo strategy", and by constructing and perpetuating the idea of "liberty Republican" he pulled energy away from the LP into the dead end of the GOP.
And finally, cults of personality are antithetical to libertarianism. Human liberty is bigger than any one person.

The LP would be better off had Ron Paul never been born. On net, the damage he's caused the movement - and the party - vastly outweigh whatever good can be claimed from his actions.
