He had been gone for six years. The only thing he contributed to Apollo 11 at that point was being a photo on the wall. The fact that you’re using this as an argument is incredible. You didn’t just miss a detail. You missed the entire decade. You built an entire point around a president who wasn’t alive to make the call, wasn’t in office, and wasn’t even physically capable of picking up a phone. The actual call was made by Nixon, routed through radio links and ground stations. No landline. No lunar switchboard. No cosmic operator saying “Please hold while I connect you to the Sea of Tranquility.” So when you say “If JFK could call the Moon…,” you’re not exposing NASA. You’re exposing that you didn’t even check who was alive in 1969 before trying to dunk on spaceflight.
