Last week, Purdue Engineering and @PGE4Me organized the third Grid of Tomorrow Consortium workshop. Generously hosted by PG&E at the San Ramon Conference Center in California, the workshop focused on one central question: How do we integrate explosive data center growth, AI-driven demand, and electrification without compromising reliability? Keynote speakers and leaders from MISO, Schneider Electric, PG&E, @Tesla, @NERC_Official, @GEVernova, Quanta Technology, @nttdata_inc, Ecco International, @intel, and @nvidia joined Purdue faculty for lightning research talks and candid panel discussions on large-load integration, AI at the grid edge, and planning and operational resilience. The workshop also featured tours of PG&E facilities and laboratories.
