I love LA. But if it wasnt for the weather, we would be the poorest city in the country. Im legitimately worried the city cant be saved. Hollywood is shedding jobs. The people mover is sitting idle at LAX. Every neighborhood has empty storefronts. 1 house has been rebuilt in the palisades. Covid was 6 years ago. We cant keep blaming covid. We cant blame trump when every single office in the city, county, state is one party. I pay a lot of taxes to stay in this city. Hundreds of thousands of dollars or more. I dont want to run, but at a certain point its just logical to cut your losses. Population declines. Billions in fraud. Schools are now some of the worst in the country, being beat by Mississippi. Good thing it is fucking sunny, or else this place would fall into the ocean.

Right-wingers are going to tell you it's because of Democrat policies, but they're wrong. It's just because those places have become increasingly unlivable for middle class families. Schools are terrible, roads are in disrepair, taxes are extremely burdensome, and everything just costs too much. And there aren't that many good jobs. Now right-wingers will tell you that it's all because of Democrat policies, but no. It all comes down to an inability to build (because of regulations and taxes, NOT Democrat policies) to meet sky-high demand from all the foreigners coming in, which by the way increases housing values and thus reduces the state budgetary deficits that have grown by orders of magnitude since Democrats took over those states and cities.

NEW — Net domestic migration data from 2020–2025 shows a reshuffling of where Americans live. People are fleeing cities (especially in CA, the Northeast, and the Rust Belt) and moving to suburban and rural areas across the Southeast, Texas, the Ozarks, and the Mountain West.

Newsom has nearly doubled state spending, but where has the money gone? Our latest @CityJournal California report explains how $180B or more of taxpayer funds appears to have evaporated into the hands of fraudsters and criminals.
Christopher F. Rufo ⚔️@christopherrufo

SCOOP: Under Gov. Newsom, fraudsters and organized crime rings have stolen at least $180 billion from California's unemployment, healthcare, and welfare programs—the largest financial crime in American history. Welcome to Gavin Newsom's empire of fraud. city-journal.org/article/gavin-…

It means that California (and several other states) both are spending more money than they take in, and from taxation are on the right-hand side of the Laffer curve. The only way out is to decrease expenditures and lower taxes. But the politicians won't because they are spending the revenue on a combination of buying votes and getting kickbacks.

California resident says she was in the women’s restroom with her very young children at Whole Foods A man walked into the women’s restroom, “He's like a pretty buff guy wearing this itty bitty girl's skirt” She tells him multiple times this is the women’s restroom and he needs to not be in there, he’s making her and her kids uncomfortable “And he's just like ignoring me. And I tell him again. And then he looks up at me finally and he's like, do you not know the California law? I don't care about the rules, the law. Like get your butt into the men's restroom. Like there's a woman in here, girls in here, kids in here. Like that is so inappropriate. It was at Whole Foods in Roseville and that just made me feel so uncomfortable and just disgusted and honestly pissed off. So stay in your lane, like go to the men's bathroom. Like why is it that hard?”

@douglasritz @JesseKellyDC "Every bit of green in LA is man-made." You have no idea what you are talking about. The LA basin is a mediterranean climate, not desert. Summer time it browns up, winter/spring - everything is green.

@RickCarusoLA Rick, most people in Los Angeles get a 10% increase in pay just by leaving -- since many areas of the country have much lower state income taxes (or none at all). This is never mentioned. I am really surprised no one even tried to pass a ballot measure to lower this a lot.

New Census data shows people are fleeing Los Angeles. Hollywood’s decline is now projected to be worse than the auto industry in Detroit. It doesn’t have to be this way. We can turn this around if we use common sense.

EXCLUSIVE: Multiple senior HHS officials estimate that, under Gavin Newsom, California's state Medicaid program has lost 25 percent of its budget to fraud. This would mean it is currently losing $50 billion a year to scammers, fraudsters, and organized crime rings.

That's it. That's the best picture from Saturday's No Kings protests in the USA. The literal Statue of Liberty being detained by police. It doesn't get much more poetic than this.

LA has amazing weather year-round and one of the most beautiful coastlines and climates in the world. But decades of mass migration, and the dysfunctional government that came with it, means that even these immense natural advantages cannot stop population exodus. Paradise Lost.

@Scaramucci Dude - I’ve lived in CA for over 40 years. Everything is great about the state except for the government. 90% of the folks that pay attention agree. The Dems have brain washed the folks that don’t pay attention and cheat via ballet harvesting. That’s the fucking answer

Let me tell you exactly what Fox figured out in 1993. Roger Ailes looked around and asked — who’s the threat? Not Bill Clinton, the threat is Hillary Clinton. They spent billions of dollars over decades destroying her narrative. By the time she ran for president 51% of the country had a negative opinion of her before she said a word on the campaign trail. That’s the playbook. Now ask yourself — where’s the threat today? California. The fourth largest economy in the world. Agriculture, Defense, Hollywood, Silicon Valley, AI. — which is literally the exportation of American culture globally. A politician coming out of California from the left could beat the right decisively. So what do you do? Spend billions destroying the narrative around California. Make it synonymous with crime and homelessness and radical politics. Do it for two or three decades until the brand is toxic. Newsom has an image problem today the exact same way Hillary had an image problem. It was manufactured. Deliberately. Systematically.

If he’s such a fucking genius maybe he should’ve drawn up each of the 13 military bases in the gulf that are now destroyed by Iranian strikes, maybe he should’ve drawn up the Strait of Hormuz and how to get ships through it after launching an unprovoked war of aggression. Dumb motherfucker.

RFK Jr. reveals just how intelligent President Trump really is behind the scenes x.com/i/status/20380… "One time, he grabbed a placemat, turned it over, took a Sharpie, and drew a PERFECT map of the Middle East. Then he marked the troop strength of every country along each border on that map!" 🔥🔥 "It challenged a lot of the assumptions I had been told about him!" 47 knows his stuff. This scene from (Wonderyears) is pretty wild. If you're too young, you're too young, but this is incredible. What you are watching is an 80s democrat culture making a scene in a show to demonstrate and propagandize its people to vote democrat. However, that didn't go well because they went so far to make this scene as realistic as possible, but they also in the process illuminated the other side being normal thinking people. The democrats exposed themselves, and in the future (NOW), you and I relate more to a classical liberal than a republican or democrat. Brutal.

When Trump leaves office: The Department of War will go back to being the Defense Department. The Trump Kennedy Center will go back to being the Kennedy Center. The Gulf of America will once again be the Gulf of Mexico. The unfinished East Wing (it won't be finished by the end of Trump's term) will be rebuilt by the next president, and it will not be a ballroom. Federal agencies packed with unqualified loyalists will fire those people and rehire the career experts Trump fired. The Department of Justice will go back to enforcing the law instead of protecting the president. Scientific agencies like NOAA, the EPA, and the CDC will go back to publishing research without political interference. The U.S. will re-align with its allies and not with its enemies. The presidential pardon power will stop being used as a rewards program for loyalists. Inspectors General will go back to investigating corruption instead of getting fired for it. The White House press room will go back to having briefings, with real journalists and not podcasters. U.S. foreign policy will stop revolving around flattering dictators. And the world will progress as though Donald Trump never existed.
