I'm not sure why people keep repeating this misinformation. Free-to-play titles, DLC add-ons and microstransactions are NOT part of PlayStation's “digital games” revenue bracket.

People keep saying this, but these percentages do not include free to play games, PS+ games or DLC, because that would be stupid. I don’t get why so many viral posts are claiming this. The % is full game paid sales via digital download (which does include digital only games)

RNG Gamer (@RNGGamerYT) today posted a video on youtube talking about physical versus digital PS5 games. It's funny that the percentage of games sold as per part of #Playstations Revenue is the same as how many physical vs. total games exist on the platform.

@undergradwoman That isn't a thing to the same extent. Not in the US. No one is coming into your home and taking your discs. Class Actions to stop production sure but once its sold its sold at least in regard to media. What you're talking about and I'm talking about aren't the same thing.

@PushinPolygons They have done that with physical disks too. I know this for a fact because I have owned devices since I was 1 year old in 1980 and have been part of lots of class action lawsuits against companies, publishers or both who did that.

@NBCNews All digital is much better and safer. If I buy a digital code offline, I can hide my purchase in my bra, wallet or purse. All digital is the only way I can buy or get updates to anything and get it delivered instantly to my device anytime regardless of weather.
