@DMC_Ryan Probably a safe bet. My question rises around modding. Asha listed Elder Scrolls as a platform and I can only imagine that means monetizing Creations further. Gotta think she wants the same for Fallout.

Thinking more about this, I think it's going to be Unreal Engine for Josh Sawyer's Fallout game. Obsidian hasn't used Creation Engine in 15+ years, and their whole tech pipeline is built around Unreal. Plus, we know Asha wants this turned around ASAP. So, UE5 is my bet.

I'll be very curious if Josh Sawyer's new Fallout game will use Unreal Engine – which is what Obsidian's entire studio uses – or if they'll pull the latest Elder Scrolls 6 version of the Creation Engine over from Bethesda. I suspect it'll be whichever gets the game made faster.

@DedicatedBeard Good call. I remember reading during the Fallout 4 hype days how id helped with the shooting in that game. Also, the Hell Razer in 2016 was by Tango. I'm unsure if they drifted from that style, but it would line up with how they did things before.
