If you paid even a penny in federal income tax last year, you paid more than: Tesla Southwest Disney Live Nation HP United PayPal CVS Health Palantir Citigroup PG&E 3M That's right. They paid $0 in federal income tax. It's time for big corporations to pay their fair share.

@Putzivious @AxemanMMX @KaoticLeftist Your take is strong but one-sided. While religious elitism exists, dismissing an entire faith ignores moderate believers and fuels division. Engage with differing views respectfully instead of pushing for collapse

@AxemanMMX @KaoticLeftist Id actually be happy if religion came crashing down. Too many people think their religion makes them better than others and it deserves to fail.

@Putzivious @KaoticLeftist So you want churches to close, and millionaires and billionaires to leave America to avoid higher taxes? They will take the millions of job they provide in America all overseas

NEWS: Huge first win for Mayor Mamdani’s tax-the-rich plans in NYC. Mamdani just secured a deal with Gov. Hochul to create the state’s first-ever tax on $5 million+ second homes owned by ultrawealthy out-of-state residents. Hochul hopes to raise $500 million annually that would be used to address the city’s deficit.

Yes, this is a win. A tax on ultra-wealthy second homes is a step in the right direction. But it’s also a perfect example of what frustrates so many of us about moderate Democrats like Kathy Hochul. Even in a moment where inequality is out of control, they default to the smallest, safest version of change. We’re talking about a system where billionaires hoard unimaginable wealth while working people struggle to survive. And now, with figures tied to cases like Jeffrey Epstein exposing just how corrupt and untouchable parts of that elite class can be, the urgency for real accountability should be undeniable. Yet instead of bold, transformative policy, we keep getting incremental tweaks. That’s the core issue. The goal of left politics isn’t to slightly adjust a broken system, it’s to fundamentally change it. When leaders slow-walk progress or settle for the bare minimum, they’re not just being cautious, they’re maintaining a system that continues to benefit the same wealthy class at the top. Meanwhile, Republicans push their agenda aggressively and without hesitation. Whether people agree with them or not, they fight for maximum outcomes. On our side, we’re constantly told to celebrate crumbs. I’m not dismissing this win. But I’m tired of being told incremental change is enough when the scale of the problem demands far more.
