@RadarFennec They've launched 16 satellites. Starlink needed ~400 in orbit before they could deliver intermittent service and wasn't considered operational until they'd deployed ~4,000. Assuming Soyuz can get back to its peak 2022 launch rate Russia could hit the first goal in about 4 years.

@deltaIV9250 It's kinda amazing that all it took to turn Artemis' strongest solders into unrepentant doomers was NASA setting a few ambitious goals while trying to fix the disconnect between hardware and mission objectives.

@burkeanorder @captive_dreamer Tucker will adapt himself to the views of whoever he has for his audience. Since leaving Fox he’s been adopted by a collection of international viewers and gulf state funders. His message has changed accordingly.

@Aris_Utensil We were a lot more adverse to war back when the miliary was run by people like this. Now that normal people are in charge again we're back to being okay with war.

Want to know what really pisses me off? The U.S. mistakenly targets a school that used to be part of an IRGC base? Non stop coverage. Iran strikes a residential neighborhood and kills 30+? Radio silence. Someone explain that to me? Anybody?
OSINTtechnical@Osinttechnical

Iranian state TV says it targeted Israel’s Dimona nuclear plant tonight in response to this morning’s strike on Natanz nuclear facility. The missile appears to have missed and hit a neighborhood.

The hold up on taking Kharg is ensuring that Iran no longer has the capacity to do that by the time we do. It's why we've been saying 90%+ degraded capacity for some time. We are going to get as close to 100% as humanly possible. And they can't just hide munitions forever, because if they stop retaliating while Israel is killing everyone vaguely associated with the IRGC, then they look weak. And that appearance of weakness will kill them faster than any bombs. Just for an example. Their bluff that the Strait is closed? That goes away when they don't muster up some form of response to having all of their personnel assassinated. So they will deplete their munitions trying to maintain the appearance of strength in the face of Israel's attacks. And each rocket they fire just directs the US to another target to destroy. People think these things are entirely unrelated. That we're just bombing away with no deeper thought process. Israel is dropping bombs to obligate a military response. US is dropping bombs to neutralize the latest form of response. When they run dry? We take the Island. Redirect our forces there. And then the regime collapses. Everyone, including the IRGC, knows exactly where this is going.
Winner Investor MD@WinnerInvestor

That'd be the ideal outcome. We take Kharg and IRGC regime falls. 1) How do you think we will take Kharg? 2) Will the world tolerate oil at $150 to $200? When we take Kharg, IRGC will destroy GCC oil/gas facilities too. Personally, I think we will bomb for another 2 weeks and say we're done here, and move on. Iranian opposition is completely worthless. If they had the guts, they'd be on the street already taking over. World doesn't have the guts to tolerate oil at $150 to $200 for 3-6 months.

@deltaIV9250 What I've always heard is that modifying it for the thermal environment in LEO would be too much work to be worth the trouble. Better to stick a reactor on it and feed it to Isaacman's NEP project. It was originally intended for deep space anyway.

Could Gateway be repurposed as a commercial LEO destination? Obviously needs some more legroom but still.

NEW: U.S. President Donald Trump is seeking to lower the profile of his mass deportation effort, and has directed his top advisers to adopt a new approach on one of his central campaign promises, WSJ reported on Thursday night. In conversations with top advisers and his wife Melania, Trump has become convinced that some of his administration’s deportation policies have gone too far, and voters don’t like the term “mass deportation.” The president has told them he wants to see more attention on arresting “bad guys” and less chaos in American cities. At this time, there is no official word from the Trump administration on the Wall Street Journal report.

@Grummz Terence McKenna, in the year 2000: "Everything is so unbelievably weird right now! This must be the end of history!" Bro has no psychic fortitude, he didn't even make it to social media and youtube poops. Just a guy who couldn't deal with being in his mid 50s and out of date.

@deltaIV9250 He thinks that the Jews came from Saturn, that Saturn is a "water star" that was our original sun, and that the Jews shut down Attack on Titan because they found out that it was actually about them. This schizoposting is impossible to decode. He is genuinely unwell.

@AeroBigMike >It’s the blatant mischaracterizations & assumptions That's exactly what people are criticizing in your data. No one is "upset," they're just pointing out your analysis is bad, and you keep bringing it back up expecting someone to give you a different review. Let May 2025 go.

@Puzzlerook2 I don’t care for praise. If I wanted that I could just say what people want to hear. And I accept my Y axis is lacking. That is my bad though it makes more sense with the contextual post which I also admit I should’ve added. It’s the blatant mischaracterizations & assumptions.

@AeroBigMike Out of six reposts, three criticized your dataset or classification rationales, two said your lack of y-axis labeling was bad, and one just said it sucked. I get that you put a lot of work into this and want someone to praise you for it, but it's just not that good.

@AeroBigMike The post had 8 quotes, 6 of which were from you dropping your graph into other conversations. Duck thought your dataset was funny, and Anton (back in May 2025) had a bunch of NASA quotes that challenged your basic assumptions. Where are the attacks and who are they coming from?

@Puzzlerook2 More people quote tweeted it attacking it. Admittedly I should’ve added the thread it was based on originally but still. It’s not like the numbers presented were incorrect. People say it’s biased but not one has proven that to be the case. At best showing they don’t understand

Levin was also 100% behind DeSantis over Trump. All the past support of DJT, voting for him six times (including primaries), doesn’t matter unless you are totally in lockstep with whatever thing he is doing at this exact moment. You can openly hate his guts, denounce him for years, but if you support the dumbest thing he has ever done, you’ll be praised for your “genius.” That’s just the way he is. He prefers praise from his enemies over wounds from a friend. It is what it is. I still think it’s possible if not likely the Iran War will end soon, it will be forgotten very quickly, and everyone will move on to another Current Thing. I am still more than happy compared to the alternative and anyone who isn’t is extremely shortsighted, and this isn’t just with regard to Kamala but even more a GOP dominated by Romneys, Thunes, Cornyns, etc. which was the dismal state of things in 2015. The radical change he brought to the GOP and the quality of those of the next generation is beyond any of our wildest dreams a decade ago. There is reason for optimism even in a very dark moment. Things can and will get better. It will take time, patience, and strenuous effort. But it will get better. Levin obviously represents that pre-Trump GOP, which is why this is so disappointing. It’s also obvious that Trump even getting elected required major concessions to the Israeli lobby. There is no way he takes office without their support. Getting a war with Iran costs $100 million in donations. There is no antiwar lobby with that kind of money or those kind of billionaires. He has changed things for the better, anyone who denies this is simply a liar, but we also have to be honest about the fact that being free of the influence of a foreign power is going to take longer than anyone thinks. It is going to happen. But we are not quite there yet.
