@Sp1thfc Starting to think that if there aren't concessions in other areas on the no. Of games like reducing the NL or CWC all clubs qualifying for Europe should back out of playing in the league cup or something. Lots of other European leagues only have a single major domestic cup.

Hate the way football is going.
- Every game with like 6+ mins added time.
- Super high intensity
- Euro WC AFCON and Copa America years with 70-80+ games
- lack of protection for players because the higher ups block their ears with money
- increase in ACLs, serious hamstring injuries, achillies and other serious injuries
The whole domino effect since they brought in the nations league alongside the increased European games is nuts honestly

@lfcJ7_ The funniest part is they have more than enough talent in their squad to walk the league if they played confident expansive football, instead the manager seems scared of failure and unable to translate his tactics to performance beyond set pieces. They seem to be going backwards.
English

they’d be mid table if the refs never let them commit GBH in the box every week

I don't think Mikel Arteta or Pep Guardiola deserve the Premier League manager of the year award.
In all but 5 of the 25 completed Premier League seasons this century, the manager of the season award has gone to the winning manager.
The exceptions were:
-George Burley with Ipswich in 2001 (finished 5th)
-Harry Redknapp 2009/10, Spurs (4th)
-Alan Pardew 2011/12, Newcastle (5th)
-Tony Pulis 2013/14, Crystal Palace (11th)
-Jurgen Klopp 2021/22, Liverpool (2nd, FA Cup and League Cup winners, UCL final)
In my opinion, it should go to the manager that has over-performed the most given the resources available to him.
I don't think that's Arteta or Pep.
I think it's Keith Andrews.

Bruno Fernandes is "unlikeable"... Okay, what about this then???
* Spotted a passenger collapsing on an EasyJet flight to Lisbon and rushed to catch him, shouting for medical assistance and staying with the man until he was stable.
* Auctioned his match-worn shirt and boots from a Manchester Derby victory to raise over £700,000 for two siblings battling a rare form of cancer.
* A dedicated ambassador for mental health awareness, actively participating in the "Inside Matters" campaign to encourage fans to check in on their loved ones.
* Regularly spends his personal time visiting children's hospices and hospitals, especially during the festive season, to hand-deliver gifts and lift the spirits of young patients.
* Used his global platform during the pandemic to champion the efforts of healthcare workers, specifically highlighting the frontline work of his brother in the NHS.
* Widely praised by supporters for being exceptionally approachable, often stopping to have genuine conversations with fans rather than just signing a quick autograph.
* Acts as a protective mentor for younger players at Manchester United, consistently taking the heat in interviews to shield his teammates from criticism.
* Discreetly supports various local food banks and community foundations in both Manchester and Portugal without seeking media attention for his donations.
* Offered to pay for the travel and accommodation of Manchester United staff for the 2024 Wembley trip out of his own pocket after club budget cuts.
* Personally organized and funded a team-bonding steak dinner for the entire squad to boost morale during a difficult run of form.
* Arranged extra tickets and travel for the Manchester United Women’s team so their families could watch them in the FA Cup final.
* Keeps in touch with former club staff who were made redundant, regularly checking in on their well-being and job searches.
* Took new signings like Matheus Cunha and Leny Yoro out for breakfast and assisted them in finding homes to help them settle into the city.
* Invited 7-year-old Bobby, who suffers from a rare genetic condition, to the Theatre of Dreams to walk out as a mascot by his side.
* Frequently sends surprise care packages with signed shirts and personal notes to fans he interacts with on social media or in person.
* Presented the "Community Captain" award to local foundation participants, spending hours hearing their stories and offering encouragement.
* Famously engaged with a fan who vowed not to cut his hair until United won a trophy, even offering a hilarious response once the streak ended.
* Actively supports Casa Ronald McDonald and Make-A-Wish Portugal, providing both financial aid and personal visits to families with ill children.
* Stepped in to offer financial and logistical support to the Portuguese club Aves when they were facing a severe financial crisis.
All of this done 'off-the-pitch' to be labeled as unlikeable is insane.

Aside from Bruno Fernandes, who is the most unlikeable player in the Premier League?

Paul Pogba was signed for £89 and won the Europa League and League Cup with Man United in his first season playing a key role in the double.
Yet throughout his stint, he got so much criticism from the likes of Graeme Souness, Jamie Carragher and the media
Then there’s Florian Wirtz, arguably the costliest(£100m+) flop ever in the league, dropping countless stinkers with zero criticism from this same people and the media.

History is going to look on utterly bemused about how the United States created the most effective power-projection alliance in the history of the world, designed it explicitly so that the US did not have to intervene in its allies wars of choice, and then ended it when the allies did not intervene in an American war of choice.
