Camp IMPACT 2026 – “The Unsung Heroes” To our incredible volunteer staff, You are the heartbeat of Camp Impact. While the spotlight often shines on the young athletes running drills, competing with fire, and growing in character, it is you — the unsung heroes — who make every moment possible. You rise before dawn, pour out your time, energy, and hearts without expectation of applause or recognition. You give freely — sacrificing family time, vacation days, and personal comfort — because you believe in something bigger than yourself. At @QBimpact , we say character is caught more than taught. Because of you, these young athletes are catching it in full measure. Your humility, servant hearts, and unwavering commitment reflect the very best of what we’re building — young men and women who will lead with integrity, faith, and purpose long after the final whistle. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. You may feel unsung, but you are deeply seen, deeply valued, and deeply appreciated by our staff, the campers, their families, and everyone who believes in what we’re doing. Sonia Wiltz Smith - Meet @TristanBerglan and @JaXon_Smith_QB , the Camp IMPACT - Sidney Smith AWARD for Leadership Excellence! Tristan’s parents, Iman Hefner Dangora and Dominic Dangora. Jaxon’s parents Brett Smith and Gina LeeAnn Smith To the Parents- who raised these leaders the right way: Thank you. You poured into them long before they stepped on this field. You taught them discipline in the early mornings, integrity when no one was watching, and courage to stand firm in a world that pulls the other direction. The Leadership Award is a special recognition given during the final Awards session. It honors one or more athletes who stand out not just for athletic performance, but for embodying the core values of the camp: leadership, character, discipline, accountability, and growth — on and off the field. The traits instilled in me and many other Sailors by Senior Chief Sidney Smith. What It Means! This award aligns perfectly with @QBimpact mission: developing dynamic athletes and better people. Camp IMPACT emphasizes that football is a vehicle for building leaders who compete with honor, serve others, and live with conviction. The Leadership Award celebrates athletes who: • Lead by example — Demonstrate initiative, encourage teammates, and maintain a positive attitude even under pressure • Show character and integrity — Display trust, courage, humility, and sportsmanship. This includes helping younger or less experienced campers, owning mistakes, and prioritizing team success. • Embody camp pillars — Things like “iron sharpens iron” (Proverbs 27:17), relentless work ethic, faith-driven purpose, and off-field maturity • Make an impact — Influence others positively, show growth throughout the 3-day event, and represent the “better person off the field” philosophy that sets Camp Impact apart.  It’s not necessarily the “MVP” for pure talent or stats — it’s often for the camper who elevates the entire group through leadership qualities that last beyond the camp. As I reflect on Camp IMPACT 2026 • Texas What a powerful week!! 220 Athletes!! From the first whistle to the final huddle, we witnessed young athletes rise to the challenge — not just in footwork, arm strength, and decision-making, but in character, leadership, and faith. Families traveled from across the country to be part of something bigger than football. The energy was electric, the growth was undeniable, and the unspoken bonds forged on that field will last far beyond this summer. We saw athletes: • Push through fatigue and step into discomfort • Encourage teammates with humility and fire • Lead by example in both victory and correction • Lean on the timeless truths that shape men & women of conviction One of the greatest joys was watching parents light up as they saw their sons & daughters mature right before their eyes — stronger, more confident, and grounded in purpose, faith and conviction. “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31 THE unforgettable moment at Camp IMPACT — 180 young athletes raised their hands, declaring their desire to know Christ! In the midst of all the drills, competition, and leadership training, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully. These young men & women took a courageous step — choosing faith, surrendering their hearts, and stepping into a new chapter of their lives. This is the true heart of what we do at QB Impact Academy. Football opens the door, but transforming lives is the mission. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16 We are grateful. We are fired up. I had so much fun this weekend at the QB Impact Camp it was an experience I didn’t even know I needed. Got to reset not just with football but spiritually as well and…got to ball with guys from Texas, Oklahoma and Hawaii!
