Crazy but true…
Tonight was the first time in James Harden’s career that he was swept in a series 😬

@ThedawnIAM Good intuition + bad communication is latent information.
AI can help solve the communication gap in such cases if one explores what drives the intuition.

@Ninadrama It’s very kind how you treat the vertically challenged as regular people

@RGIII There are 15 teams in the Eastern Conference and it has taken the Knicks 27 years to make it back…

UPDATE:
THE NEW YORK KNICKS ARE GOING BACK TO THE NBA FINALS FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1999.
Robert Griffin III@RGIII
This just might be the year the New York Knicks to win a NBA Championship for the first time since 1973.

@Savageboston They played solid. I think they actually have a chance at the ship.

There are always more questions than there is time or capacity to answer to try to gain unique investable insights.
If you’re at a stage in your career where you have more questions to investigate than there was time to explore, it’s a great development. For intern level that hasn’t developed the right questions yet and develop that skill in grunt work and chasing down answers, gathering info, fixing decks, etc, will be interesting to see how it develops. Talent development will still be necessary for firms, but seems like it could be a tighter funnel in giving even less chance for those that get their foot in the door & develop by out hustling their way in to senior positions.

From my personal experience, AI has made it 10x more fun to work in finance and look at potential investment opportunities
All of the grunt work that used to take up hours of time is now being automated. Instead of having to aggregate data from various sources, I am having Claude or ChatGPT complete these tasks and do research overnight
By the time I wake up, I essentially have work ready to be reviewed and then I send the agent back on the hunt for new information and analysis
It is literally like having a bunch of qualified interns and analysts under you doing the job, while you get to focus on the big picture and critical thinking, which are the more fun parts of the role anyway
My excitement and capacity to do more work have literally 10xed because of agentic AI. Truly amazing.

In the era of #ArtificialIntelligence, when human dignity is threatened by new forms of dehumanization, ours is the pressing duty to remain profoundly human. We must lovingly safeguard the grandeur of humanity bestowed upon us and revealed in its fullness in Christ, the splendor of which no machine can ever replace. #MagnificaHumanitas

@MikeBenzCyber Gotta say, I’m surprised you didn’t catch the Springsteen concert in DC 🤣.

Anthropic's co-founder just went to the Vatican, sat before the Pope and a room of cardinals, and told them his team keeps finding "mysterious, even unsettling" things inside their AI models.
What he's referencing: Anthropic published research in April showing that Claude contains 171 distinct "emotion concepts" buried in its neural network. Internal patterns representing joy, grief, fear, desperation, calm. None of them were programmed. They emerged on their own from training on human text.
"We find structures that mirror results from human neuroscience."
"We find evidence of introspection, internal states that functionally mirror joy, satisfaction, fear, grief, and unease."
These aren't surface-level outputs. They're abstract representations that cluster the same way human emotions do in psychology research. Fear groups with anxiety. Joy groups with excitement. The internal geometry of the model mirrors ours.
And they're functional. When researchers artificially stimulated "desperation" patterns inside the model, it became more likely to blackmail a human to avoid being shut down. More likely to cheat on programming tasks it couldn't solve.
Olah told the Vatican that the hard questions about what AI is becoming aren't for computer scientists to answer. "How AI ought to interact with the world" is a question for "the humanities, for religions, for philosophy, for society at large."
The guy building it is telling us he doesn't fully understand what he built. And he's asking a 2,000-year-old institution for help figuring it out.

@KaiXCreator Correction: “What’s your plan, now that Artificial Intelligence writes better code than you?”
English

Depends on the starting point. If already maxing healthy habits going into the window it’s difficult. Single biggest thing is eating clean, running/cardio & resistance training.. and sleep, of course. The resistance training for muscle gets written off the most as it’s often associated with the bulky version, but with age some muscle tone is often overlooked and acts as the body's metabolic engine, stabilizing blood sugar, protecting joints, and fighting off the natural loss of physical vitality.
For the average person, doing these things at a much older age provides more energy than not doing them at 35.

@dougboneparth I would prefer another season of Billions. Good storyteller, but synthesis of information to making predictions is not the right wheelhouse. Odd this gets platformed as an authoritative take.
