The Nasdaq is up 15%, adding $5 trillion. The Russell 2000 is up 13%, adding $389 billion. The S&P 500 hit a new all-time high today, in the middle of an active war.

U.S.–IRAN MOVE CLOSER TO FRAMEWORK DEAL AS PRESSURE BUILDS: AXIOS U.S. and Iranian negotiators are nearing a framework agreement to end the war, with mediators pushing to close gaps before the April 21 cease-fire deadline. Talks continue through backchannel diplomacy and a likely new in-person round, though officials say a deal is not guaranteed due to major unresolved differences. Behind the push, Washington says a naval blockade and sanctions pressure are sharply cutting Iran’s oil exports and worsening its economic crisis, increasing incentives for Tehran to agree. If a framework is reached, negotiators would need to extend the cease-fire to finalize a full deal.

BREAKING: The US exported over 5 million barrels of oil per day last week, a record high, amid the Iran War. In aggregate, the US exported a record 12.7 million barrels of crude oil and refined products per day last week. As the Iran War leads to one of the largest energy disruptions in history, the US is capitalizing. Total exports will likely exceed 13 million barrels per day soon.
