Adding realism, it's the little details that elevate the entireanimation experience. Even though this is only an animation concept and hasn't been developed yet, I want it to feel as realistic as possible. Notice the transition between the cursor and the pointer, it looks and feels incredibly natural. Full animation will be out later in the day. Stay tuned:)

Preloader and hero animation for OR.Architecture. The initial direction I had for the animation was too literal and a bit too long, which made it feel cheap and somewhat unprofessional. So I decided to go with something much simpler and more refined. I might post the first version someday just to share the process and show how the direction evolved. I’d love to know what you think.

Working on the preloader and intro animation. The concept is inspired by how architectural blueprints and site plans are handled in real life. Before opening a drawing, the first thing you see is the title block, which provides key information about the project. Only then do you open the blueprint or site plan. I’m recreating that same experience for the website. I’m using After Effects for the animation, and it should come together much better by tomorrow once it’s finished. If you’re new here, check out my previous posts to get a better understanding of the project. Stay tuned, and thank you!

Inspired by architectural title block Since the beginning of this project, I've had the idea of using a technical drawing title block as part of the design inspiration to help tell the story even better. If you've ever done technical drawing, you'll know that the title block is usually placed inside the drawing sheet, on the same page as the drawings. But during my research, I discovered that in some architectural blueprint and plan sets, the title block is placed on the outside edge of the paper. Why? So that when the drawings are stacked together, it's easy to identify a particular drawing without opening the entire set, you can simply read the title from the outside. That became the inspiration for this preloader, since it's the first thing users see before the actual website. It looks a bit flat at the moment, but the animation will bring it to life.

Opened Photoshop today after a long break. I'm currently working on my course project, and one of the feedback points pushed me back into Photoshop. I needed the project names to feel like they were carved into a concrete wall for an architectural brand. Could AI have done it? Sure, but only after I had a clear concept. I built the effect in Photoshop first, then used ChatGPT to replicate it across the rest of the project. AI is a great accelerator, but having a strong creative direction still comes first. Animation will tie everything together🤝

I'm back like I never left It's been almost a year since my last post here. I went inactive because I was fully occupied with agency work and couldn't really make time for for any social platforms. This year, I decided to intentionally sharpen my skills, especially in storytelling and the business side of creativity. I've been learning, growing, and now I'm back to sharing my experiences and the lessons I'm picking up along the way. Posting is also part of how I practice and improve, so you'll be seeing more of me around here. Wish me the best.
