4 years ago, I was a trader struggling to make things click. No risk management, no plan, no discipline, no patience, and mountains of greed and fomo. Today I had over 4 trades click for more than 500%. One of them hitting a high of almost 2000%. I do this every week now. Below is one of my secrets to success that's so basic you'll laugh. ***Set alerts and chill*** Most traders do it but don't take it that serious. Your alerts need to be precise with actionable purpose. When mine go off I take immediate action with zero hesitation. @shanterpster Yeah definitely a huge part of it. But that doesn’t mean just slapping fat size is all it takes. Typically involves multiple strikes and expiry’s. Lots of scaling in and out etc. Some might say all that isn’t necessary but I believe it is when mitigating risk is priority 1!

Is there a secret to holding trades past 100%? Yes. Position management. I see way too many traders using options… but never fully capitalizing on the whole reason we use them. Sold full. Bad trims. Only one strike. Poor risk management. Stop being the guy saying: “Bro I could’ve made $50,000 today, but I sold full for $5,000.” Smash the likes & retweet if I should start making more posts on positioning for maximum returns. Staying profitable on days like today by focusing on your situational awareness! Three important notes so you don’t get cooked on the next market pull. -> Run short term hedges ($IWM proxy worked well today) -> Stick to names showing relative strength vs $SPY (like $UNH ) -> Scale out partial profits into strength on extended names to lock in gains and reduce exposure (use trailing stops) TLDR: Short term hedges on higher beta names give you asymmetric protection. They balance the book enough to let you stay long rotational leaders without getting wrecked when the market takes a breath. Also shoutout: @WOLF_Financial spaces crew, nice work today!

@GnT_Trades Great post and so true. Confidence/conviction is paramount but can be a very fine line. This is also why I will always be a predominantly a TA based trader.

The market has a funny way of punishing certainty. If you think about it, every time you are absolutely sure about a trade, you are prone to be at maximum risk. Not because the setup is bad. Because your 'conviction' may silently be eliminating your exit plan and your risk management. When you're 'sure,' subconsciously you don't set a tight stop. You don't plan for being wrong. You go in heavy because how could this not work? It's a no brainer.. And then when it doesn't work, you're stuck. Too much size, no exit plan, and an ego that refuses to admit the obvious. The best traders I know operate with strong opinions, but they are loosely held. They have a thesis. They size accordingly. And they're ready to be wrong at any moment. That readiness isn't doubt, but rather preparation. Getting to that frame of mind takes some time, but it goes a long way in protecting yourself from real damage.
