I’m really enjoying Battlefield 6 Season 4 so far. Tsuru Reef is a breath of fresh air; finally a map with a bit of space! The addition of naval combat has injected an entirely missing element of the sandbox and it actually feels like I’m playing Battlefield again, not a game created to please an audience that up to this point hasn’t ever been interested. We have a proper rock, paper, scissors map again; one that supports the all-out warfare the franchise is known for. It feels like a map made for Battlefield 4, and that means it’s approaching the standard set for the franchise. We’re still missing some important elements like jet loadouts (DICE pls), a server browser, Platoons, prox chat and more. Those things will arrive. But the longer we go on without them, their omission only grows more and more obvious. My hope is that everything that’s being developed feature-wise between now and whenever the team moves onto Battlefield 7 is kept as part of the product. Battlefield had always suffered from missing features when moving to the next game but this is the time to show that’s not going to happen anymore. The team has spent the best part of a year fixing, improving and implementing features players have been asking for; it’d be diabolical to let all that drop again. I’m looking forward to Wake Island and the Top Gun collab. Here’s hoping the team can keep on this streak of solid content while continuing to bolster the product with useful and requested features!

@Hell_Plus @MaNeo_O Although I do agree with most of your points my argument is not actually an argument, it is in fact the sad reality of the practices of large game studios, such as Ubisoft. I completely agree that the whole situation sucks. It's a volatile business at the moment.

@Quantumos88 @MaNeo_O As far as I'm concerned your argument only holds any merit if Ubisoft are actually deciding to not make games anymore. ... But if they do make more games or create any new studios then firing these people to make a line go up while profiting from their hard work is real gross.

@elepunt0 @MaNeo_O Yes it takes years to work on some games. The games industry has changed massively this generation. A "job for life" is no longer the norm for game development. Layoffs are sadly a normal thing in that industry. I hope they find new projects to work on soon.

@elepunt0 @MaNeo_O I would if I'd hired cooks to work at one event. I understand your sentiment but large companies like Ubisoft will treat game devs like contractors I'm afraid. Once the job is done they will restructure teams. Redeployment to ongoing projects/layoffs.
