Why is it a stereotype that autistic people are unattractive?

@e_galv Because of puberty. When we hit puberty and sex hormones begin to flow, we discover who we're attracted to. That's also when the trans kids get the courage to speak up, coz they knew what gender they were the same time as other kids understand gender but couldn't express it.

My 16 year old niece stayed with us this week. She told us very nonchalantly and very genuinely that “everyone” her age is trans, nonbinary, queer, ADHD, autistic, and/or bipolar. I’m not anti any of these identities, but how are they so prominent in younger people and why?

@VorosTwins I don't have synesthesia, but I do have autism. The Thai people sometimes wear certain colors on certain days, like Tiger Woods always wearing red on Sunday. According to this tradition, Tuesday is pink. This is not to be confused with Mean Girls, who wear pink on Wednesdays.

I have no idea who this woman is but it is literally textbook psychology that a groomed person will defend and even be hostile towards justice for their abuser. We have seen this many times from child abuse survivors (“you don’t understand mum he loves me unlike you”) to sex trafficking (“he only wants me to make us enough money so we can be together and have a good life, I chose to do it”). It can take YEARS to accept you were conned/brainwashed/trafficked.

@SpookyHooga I don't want someone to rule over me. I want a partner to stand by my side as we take on the world together. Honestly, I'm more likely to be the one protecting him. We don't want a patriarch; we want a man to help with chores and raising the kids. We're supposed to be a team.

Stuff like this really is why feminism can't work as a lived set of principles, women will never give up the idea that men should be the patriarch who provides, protects, is competent and has high social status and wealth no matter how "equal" society says the sexes are.

If Amazon is smart (which we all know Bezos is not), they'll put MOTU back in theaters in a few months or so like Sinners, coz now that people are streaming it, everyone is mad at themselves for not seeing it in theaters.

Everyone talking MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE (and rightfully so!) reminds me that the movie makes a solid case for reclaiming masculinity. Not the toxic kind, but the kind that protects, shows love, shows empathy. Strength is about having the power but choosing how/when to use it.
