Incorrect. PBS gets the vast majority of its funding from the government. People like to say that “PBS National” doesn’t receive a majority of its funding from government but this is inaccurate in two ways: 1.If you combine PBS and all of its affiliate stations in aggregate, most funding is received from the government. Despite pledge drives, the majority of funding of every affiliate station is sourced from various federal, state or local governments. 2.Secondly, the largest single funding source from PBS is affiliate stations who pay national in order to use their content. You get 1 guess as to how the affiliate stations get most of this money. It’s government money. Somehow people want to say that since the money flows from the government, to affiliate stations and then back to PBS it somehow becomes not government money, lol.

Two of our elementary schools were just evacuated due to threats. Both of our colleges have gone virtual this week due to threats. The city just canceled our annual CultureFest because of threats. None of this was happening before Trump and Vance opened their mouths.
