The pinnacle of ignorance. I can buy an old Honda that cannot do a single thing to actively protect my child beyond ABS and seatbelts. Or I can buy a Tesla that can actively watch for danger 360° and react, has parental controls that limit speed, acceleration, and set curfews. 🤦‍♂️

Almost bought a used 100K mile Honda Civic for my 16 year-old. Instead, I opted for a preowned lease on a Tesla Model 3 with 45K miles. After taxes, the monthly payment is $200. That’s less than we’d be spending on GAS for the Civic every month. And it’s still under warranty! Maybe we’ll buy it out in a few years, maybe we’ll turn it in and lease a brand new one. Either way, the cost savings of leasing (or owning) a Tesla can’t be ignored.
