2025 changed the trajectory of @merge_api.
Like most companies that started pre-AI, we had to reckon with how fast the industry was changing. By the end of 2024, it became clear that small adjustments weren’t going to be enough. We needed to fundamentally change how we operated so we could keep showing up for our customers as their products and use cases evolved.
As an exec team, we decided to make a hard internal shift. We began to focus on three things:
1. Using AI deeply across our company and product
2. Supporting AI-driven use cases for our customers
3. Launching our own AI product to help teams safely build, deploy, and operate AI agents
These changes allowed us to accelerate revenue, land the largest logos in the world, and provide a better experience for our customers, all while maintaining a median CSAT score of 5 out of 5.
I am so proud of our team, and I cannot wait until 2026.

Today marks four years of @merge_api. Four years of building with my best friend. Four years inventing a category from the ground up.
Words can’t do this journey justice. From my tiny apartment to offices in San Francisco, New York City, and Berlin, I’m so grateful for everything I’ve learned and everyone I’ve met along the way. It’s a privilege to go to work each day, and I’m so excited for what the next four years of @merge_api with @shensi will bring.
