@CLoew79 @markallanbovair They still go to school in the dark regardless. Highschoolers get on the buses around 6am. It's dark most of the year except near summer at 6a. Younger kids go in later.

@markallanbovair We did this in the 70s and it only lasted a year. Parents complained because kids were going to school in the dark. Several children died in an accident in Florida This administration is like a bad sequel to the Nixon administration. Maybe it's time to start using the Reagan book

9:00 AM Sunrise is more insane than most people realize. That's 1.5 class periods into school before the sun even rises. 2 hours into most blue collar workdays. That extra hour of daylight (in cold winter when everyone is inside anyway) from 5-6p isn't worth it at all.

@markallanbovair I agree standard is better for health... but I'm also not "inside from 5-6." I teach highschool starting at 6:45a and out at 3:15. I'd much rather have just a couple hours of light to run errands, hike, and BE OUTSIDE in the evening than not.
