My brother cheated on his wife and she filed for divorce. Our mom advised him to fight for custody of their two kids, so he did and he won. But now he regrets it because taking care of the children alone is harder than he expected. His ex only visits once a week while he struggles to manage everything, and the woman he cheated with already left him for someone richer. Now he says no young woman wants to be with him, and he doesn’t want to marry a single mother. He asked his ex to contribute more towards the children’s upkeep since she earns more money, but she refused. She only pays their school fees and takes them out for fun. He thought winning custody was the right decision… but now he isn’t so sure anymore.

I have a friend who can disappear for months without talking to me. Sometimes I’ll call her and she won’t pick up. Other times she’ll answer but act very cold and uninterested. Then months later she’ll come back and explain that she was going through something. Even with that, I still try to be there for her. But the last time she disappeared, it was for over 6 months. Now she’s back and complaining that I’ve become distant and not empathetic towards her, and she expects everything to just go back to normal immediately. Honestly, I’m tired. How do one deal with someone like this?

What I understand so far… Ugo comes across as very egoistic. Built an app inspired by her motherhood, then promoted it as “I built it for her” when it wasn’t really for her. Bought a car on finance for her, posted it online for gratification, then stopped paying until it got repossessed. Used her position as his dependent as a bargaining chip. She walked away, he initiated the divorce. She allegedly started seeing someone while they were separated, and he ran to Twitter to accuse her of cheating.
