Performance of large projects and thoughts on the question of: Is this the end of the AI narrative? - #Virtual down 33% - #Ai16z down 40% - #AIXBT down 36% - $ARC down 32% - #SWARMS down 50% - $FAI down 32% - $AVA down 30% - #Game down 42% IMO multiple factors led to this sell-off, but I don't think the AI agent narrative is over. 1. US FED is less aggressive in rate cuts. Rate cuts often don't move the market a lot. But they certainly do if investors get surprised, which was the case in this scenario. Everyone expected further easing. 2. SILKROAD BITCOIN might get sold Also possible they have already been sold. What we saw in altcoins was a reaction to this news as well as some frontrunning. It may be priced in now, but I wouldn't bet on it. 3. LOW LIQUIDITY on AI coins. This is less true for the large caps but certainly for all the shitcoins that we hold in our portfolio. Most of these coins are launched on Pumpfun. The liquidity on those is insanely low. It makes sense that they are susceptible to bearish market news. So where do we go from here? Macro factors certainly led to the sell-off in AI tokens, which means: - There is nothing wrong with AI agents - No other narrative stole mindshare Which makes me believe the relative underperformance of Agnets is temporary. First, we need the market to bottom. We are probably okay for today since there is a holiday in the US today. Let's watch how the markets react on Friday and next week. A relief rally on the weekend is possible IMO. After that, the market will wait to see what happens if Trump gets into office. Currently, the market does not price in any bullish comments Trump could make about crypto, meaning he could move the market quite a bit with little effort. If macro sentiment switches again, I believe AI coins will be the most interesting sector again. There is simply nothing else that's interesting. Especially the AI x GAMING narrative is something to keep an eye on. So I see a path to bullish conditions. I also see a path where Silkroad Bitcoins are getting sold in the next few days before Trump gets into office. This would be the path to more pain. Either way, Trump would be our relief. Protect your liquidity, you will need it.
