BREAKING: a family member has come forward and in her words “my grandmother was wrongfully killed with MAID and approved while her power of attorney was on vacation and the grandmother didn’t have the capacity to consent and didn’t want it.” I will be naming the doctors, the nursing home, the Maid assessors and every other person who touched this family. Welcome you’re about to be famous. This happened in Belleville Ontario not far from where I grew up. This just got very personal.

@Tfreema94181255 We choose Canadian over American. We've been intertwined for so long, US stuff is part of daily life. Just like the US needs Canadian stuff, it's been ingrained in both systems.

#canada Dear Canada canadians boycotting USA I have several question for you. 1 why are yall still on USA social media. 2 yall mention not flying to USA but to Europe are Mexico. If you fly on west jet that’s on USA made planes Boeing 737 series and Boeing 787. And a few months ago they pit in another order for Boeing if your on air Canada then they have Boeing 777 and 787. You could ask for air bus 220 320 and 330 series but some of them are made in Alabama in USA. So how are you hurting America there. If you boycott both airlines your putting Canadian citizens job at risk. If you fly another airline chances most of there jets are made in USA. 3 the USA trade to Canada is big most products there have something in it from USA. So Your hurting Canadians more then Americans . 4 I do not think you Canadians thanked this through 5 your pm is not boycotting USA his wife and kids live there now paying cheaper usa taxes . Carney moved is company there for lower taxes and less restriction to run business. I ask you why don’t instead of Trump bad ask carney for answers on his family in USA . Ask him to move them and brook field back to Canada.

Didn't Carney promise (16 months ago) he was the only one who could get a deal with Trump? Could it have been just another Liberal lie? Of course it was, obviously. Elbows up!!

@Kelsisheren Lost a very good friend, elderly lady, to this Canadian murder program. She was misled, told me her son and daughter-in-law were moving her into a nursing home and she laughed because they said it had great maid service. She was gone a week later. Canada you have a problem.

@Kelsisheren I read this today and cried...I don't understand wtf is going on with this country. The Dr's, MAID need to be held accountable. I know this is hard for the family but why did they allow them to administer the drug? She was clearly unable to think clearly.

Canada 🇨🇦 built a literal bridge to America. Canada financed the multibillion-dollar Gordie Howe International Bridge between Windsor and Detroit, built to carry workers and families and hockey gear and furniture and beer. Pop the champagne mother f*ckers! Oh… Canada canceled the celebration after President Trump imposed new 50 percent tariffs on #Canadian goods. @StephenKing could snort a line of coke and upload his consciousness to an AI writer’s room in Bangladesh, and he still couldn’t write a cleaner metaphor than this: #Canada spent billions building a physical connection to the United States. Trump answered by treating our closest neighbor like our worst economic enemy. Question for my fellow Americans: have you lost your goddamn minds? Where are the Americans who still see Canada as our closest friend and ally? Why are y’all so quiet?

@sarobertson_ Canada and the US used to be great allies and friends. Then Trump decided to attack and disrespect Canada. What Americans are missing is that the rest of the world is watching. If this is what they do to a great friend, what will they do to the rest of the world?

US Senator Welch details the devastating impact of the Canadian boycott on Vermont -- and pins it squarely on Trump's rhetoric toward Canada. Greer's response: they're fighting a ban on American alcohol and caps on American cheese.

I might suggest our government prioritizing "optics for their voter base" over difficult conversations is part of why we are here in the first place. We've been barely showing up to real talks. How has that approach worked out thus far? #cdnpoli
Ben O'Hara-Byrne@Ben_oharabyrne

No federal leader, of any political stripe, shows up to celebrate the bridge opening with Howard Lutnick at this point. Part of it is optics for your voter base, clearly the case here, but also recognizing it would serve no strategic purpose, it wouldn’t better the relationship.

Scott Moe said what every sensible Canadian is thinking: We need a trade agreement, not a ego match with the United States. 🇨🇦🇺🇸 Our leaders spent over a year indulging in emotional posturing instead of doing the actual work at the negotiating table. Now that the consequences are here, the media is terrified to admit that Carney failed to protect Canadian workers. I am sick and tired of politicians and media elites lying to my fellow Canadians.

Carney lied to Canadians. Canadians’ tax dollars paid for 100% of the bridge. Carney signed a deal that gives 50% of bridge and crossing revenues to the US for the first 15 years. How can he be trusted?

Premier David Eby is a prime example of why Canada does not have a trade deal signed with the US. We have weak leaders who care more about projecting how offended they are by Trump than actually pushing to get a good deal for Canadians. Mexico isn't being hit by additional 50% tariffs because President Claudia Sheinbaum is strong and knows how to engage in hardball negotiations. Canada is getting hit by additional 50% tariffs because Mark Carney and David Eby are weak and all they do in response to tariffs is whine and make concessions. Trump takes advantage of their incompetence. We need a change! Throwing rocks at the US President then running away like a coward is never a winning formula. It may feel good in the moment but it’s hurting our province. If I were Premier I would meet with Trump immediately and ask him what it is he needs from us. We need the US far more than they need us.
Scott Robertson@sarobertson_

Eby: "The United States is a huge market that is impossible for Canada to replace. But at the end of the day, if they don't want Canadian goods, if they don't like Canada, there's not a lot we can do about that. So let's focus our energy on the places that are really excited to trade with us and take this generational opportunity so that our kids are not put in the same situation of being too dependent on the United States."

@talliwagger @StewartParks0 Trump keeps changing his mind. Make an agreement he breaks it. E.g He made an agreement to reduce tariffs on vehicles from the EU. In exchange the EU agreed to buy energy from the US. 2 weeks later he raised the tariffs back to what they were. Nobody can deal with a madman.
