@RAGEIntelYT @iv_sal1 to be fair an intentional and inspired art-style trumps hyper-realism any day, i do think it would've been cool to see how an evolution of RDR1's style would've looked. no hate to the RDR2 we got of course. i've finished RDR2 about dozen times and spent hundreds of hours in RDO.

RDR1 somehow looks better and worse at the same time wtf lol.

@iv_sal1 much better graphical fidelity but they stripped away the original art-direction inspired by classic spaghetti-westerns in favor of hyper-realism. there's a couple screenshots from early in RDR2's development where it actually had a similar art-style to 1. one of my favorites:

Take-Two has reaffirmed that GTA 6 remains on track for its planned November 19, 2026 release. In a proxy statement filed with the SEC today ahead of September's Annual Meeting, Take-Two has formally reaffirmed GTA 6's November 19 release date. This isn't an earnings report or a marketing update - it's an official shareholder filing that provides information ahead of the company's Annual Meeting, covering topics such as board elections, executive pay and corporate governance, while also including a letter from CEO Strauss Zelnick outlining the company's outlook. In his letter, Zelnick says FY2027 has the potential to be "a major inflection point", "defined by groundbreaking entertainment experiences", led by the planned November 19 release of GTA 6, alongside "creative and operational excellence" and "record Net Bookings." Looking back on FY2026, he also says "each of our labels exceeded our initial expectations", with "Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series continu[ing] to drive significant Net Bookings and deep engagement with its passionate community of players." The document also reveals several interesting insights: • The Grand Theft Auto series "continued to outpace expectations significantly" and demonstrated "strong momentum leading up to the planned launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19th." • GTA Online's A Safehouse in the Hills was described as "one of the best-performing updates in its history." • GTA+ delivered significant year-over-year growth, supported by seasonal content updates. Finally, Take-Two says it expects to generate more than $1 billion in operating cash flow during FY2027, giving it the flexibility to invest in technology, pursue acquisitions and maximise the commercial potential of its franchises.

@s1nicki It doesn’t even need a “remaster” they just need to uncap the frame rate and give us 60. Realistically tho at this stage they are obviously holding off for a remaster so it’s better than nothing.

just because rdr2 looks good graphically doesn’t mean it wouldn’t benefit from a remaster and/or ps5 port. 🫩

@GhillieYT I mean it’s working off a movement system that is so outdated at this point. It would require an entire overall to the movement for it to be improved.

It’s insane just how much better GTA heists would be if stealth was just a little bit decent in the game.

FiveM for GTA 5 Enhanced will release in early access on July 21, 2026. I haven’t played RP in a loooong time, but I’m surprised that this took so long. It sounds & looks pretty cool though.

Just received the coolest package EVER! Thank you so much to @AbsurdVentures for sending me over a paperback copy of American Caper Volume 1: Red-Pilled Blues. I’m already a huge fan of American Caper so it’s a pleasure to have this first volume. You can pick it up for yourself right now and I’d highly recommend doing so. I’ll never get tired of Dan Houser & Lazlow’s work. They have this irreplaceable charm that is absolutely on display here. The satire is obviously hilarious, and if you’re a fan of their past ventures (pun intended) then I’m confident that you’ll love it as well. Once again, thank you for this @AbsurdVentures, and I can’t wait to see what else the future holds!

@videotech I think the heist itself is good. Some of the changes are odd.

@videotech I wouldn’t say indefinitely but it definitely looks like it will continue to receive some support post gta vi launch. Tbf the team working on most of the updates is pretty small so it probably doesn’t cost that much to keep it going.

Imagine being one of the people who bought GTA Advance on release day as opposed to spending the same amount of money on GTA San Andreas which came out the same day. This box art is so absurdly bland too.

Now to be clear I still enjoyed the DLC and heist and there is definitely replayability there. It just doesn’t feel like a send off for Online. I genuinely think we see a December DLC even after GTA VIs release. Maybe this means GTA VI online will be further out than some expect.

Now that I’ve finished my first go at the Kortz Centre Heist I’m pretty confident in saying that my suspicions of this not feeling like the final GTA Online DLC are true. Obviously nobody knows at this stage but I would expect atleast one more DLC. This just didn’t have finality.
