Truth isn’t negotiable. Neither am I. 🇦🇺 Stand your ground or lose it.

There MIGHT be a case for SLIGHTLY higher royalties, but our panel explains clearly - with data - why calls for a 25% up-front royalty from the billion-dollar renewables lobby, the Greens, the Australia Institute and “Punters” Politics are really about shutting gas down.

⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ RECKONING CODE ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ AUSTRALIA'S MASS MIGRATION (WHAT IT WAS AND WHAT IT'S BECOME) ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ KIDS IN TENTS ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Kids in tents aren't vibrant diversity. Australia postwar... Populate or Perish wasn't feel-good rhetoric - it was raw survival. A war-torn decimated population who fought a war on foreign soil that left an empty continent facing real invasion risks and who used permanent, purposeful migration to build a powerhouse. Migrants took the brutal jobs powered the Snowy Scheme and secured the nation's future. Today's surge is the opposite. An uncapped temporary-visa machine feeding university fees corporate margins and imported voter blocs while housing infrastructure and the social contract buckle. Many families now sleep in tents in suburban parks. To be clear - This is no camping trip. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ THE SINGAPORE MIRROR ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ When Singapore decided to grow with zero resources, only with iron discipline built a first-world miracle by putting citizens first. Australia sits on a continent of riches and still ends up with kids in tents. That is not vibrant diversity. It's the bill coming due for abandoning vision. The drop that follows lays out exactly how we got here and what it will take to choose the Australia that survives. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Australia's Immigration: Then vs Now ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Post-WWII Populate or Perish (1945-1970s) Purposeful existential survival and nation-building. Tiny population. Empty continent. Real invasion risk. The explicit policy was 1-2 percent annual growth through permanent migration to secure the land and power the future. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Snowy Mountains Scheme (1949-1974): 100K plus workers 65-70% migrants from 30+ countries built the dams, the tunnels and power that electrified modern Australia. Migrants took the brutal heavy jobs in construction and industry that locals couldn't scale alone. Net Overseas Migration (NOM) averaged around 90k per year almost all permanent all long-term settlers. The results were that a vulnerable outpost became a prosperous self-reliant powerhouse. That was the deal. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Singapore Shames Our Resource-Rich Collapse ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ THE RAMP-UP (That Changed Everything) ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Postwar average NOM around 90k+ per year. This is exactly how the numbers exploded and stayed dangerously high: Early 2000s (pre-2005): around 50k-100k '1x postwar average' Mid-2000s (2005-2009): around 170k peaking at 300k '2-3x postwar average' 2010-2019: around 200k-250k average '2.5x postwar average' 2022-23: 538k '6x postwar average' 2023-24: 429k 'around 5x postwar average' 2024-25: 306k '3.4x postwar average' Still triple postwar levels with long-term arrivals hitting records through 2025. Permanent program capped at around 185k on paper (‘mostly skilled’ THEY SAY). Of course they'd say that. It simply serves their policy and continues to make them look good ‘on paper’ - the same way GDP ‘looks good on a newsflash’. If Australia had a genuinely mostly-skilled permanent intake, why are we still short the trades that build houses and power infrastructure? Why is construction productivity still lagging and major projects strangled by red tape while voter-bloc politics and temporary churn keeps rolling? The real explosion and the lingering pressure came from uncapped temporary visas students workers visitors staying 12+ months. That's what drove the population pressure into 2026. Today's Surge (2022-2026) Purpose: Short-term corporate patch and voter-bloc politics. Nothing more. No defence mandate. (New immigrants, the large majority of which are not eligible to join the Australian defense forces for obvious reasons.) No grand infrastructure vision. No populate the continent. Just flooding the services, the economy with temporary bodies while the government clings to power by courting imported voter blocs instead of defending national sovereignty. International students alone remained a massive net driver. Skilled streams exist on paper. The reality is low-to-mid skill churn, not nation-building crews. Temporary visas still rule. Meanwhile Singapore... 'the mirror Australia refuses to look into.' Zero natural resources. A muddy swamp in 1965. Lee Kuan Yew did not open the floodgates with temporary cheap labour or chase short-term GDP sugar hits. He ran strict merit-based permanent-focused immigration tied ruthlessly to national needs. - skills that built things, cohesion that lasted, infrastructure planned for citizens first. This resulted in Singapore now being one of the richest cleanest most powerful city-states on Earth. Sky-high GDP per capita world class defence unbreakable social integration. All achieved with nothing under the ground except discipline and sovereignty. Australia sits in the top 3 most resource-rich nations on the planet. Iron ore, coal, gas, rare earth minerals - you name it. Australia has it. We have the land the minerals the potential Singapore could only dream of. Yet here we are in 2026. - families in tents in suburban parks kids still needing school uniforms and hot meals while parents try to claw back their dignity from foreclosure and eviction. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Kids in tents aren't vibrant diversity. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Specialist homelessness services supported 289k people in 2024-25 alone. Women and children make up nearly three-quarters of those seeking help. Families with kids are surging 200% increase in long-term camping in regional Victoria alone. Tents in parks from Redcliffe Qld, to free campgrounds across the country. Over 200-350 people turned away every single day because there's no capacity. Let that sink in. 'NO CAPACITY' National rental vacancy rate sits at a critical 1.0 % in March 2026 - no room left. 950k + Aussie kids now live in poverty and is projected 15.6% rate in 2025 one in six kids under 15. The Government's answer is to bulldoze camps because the optics are not good. Optics that don't match what they want Australia to be perceived as. Well - that is our reality. Parents skipping meals so the kids don't. Total fertility rate hit a record low of 1.481 in 2024 and is forecast to drop to 1.42 in 2025-26. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Who wants to bring a child into a country that prices its own citizens out of the basics? ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Housing in total crisis. Rents and prices exploding. Wages crushed in low-skill sectors. Infrastructure buckling. Social cohesion fraying - never monitored by the policy that guides the influx. All because our leaders abandoned the postwar vision and replaced it with ad-hoc labour for universities chasing fees and corporations chasing margins while engineering permanent voter blocs to lock in power. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ THE BRUTAL TRUTH ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ We are not repeating the purposeful infrastructure-first model that built Australia. We are perverting it and Singapore stands as living proof of what disciplined sovereignty can achieve with nothing. We have everything. We are squandering it forcing families to sleep rough. Our future generations undermined through the Governments that say - 'We are here to Help' Clearly they are not helping anyone that remembers. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ LEST WE FORGET ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ Back to basics or watch the country crack. Tie every single migrant number and visa type to real long-term nation-building. Major projects genuine productivity and Australian sovereignty first. Not temporary churn for political survival. Australia wasn't built on weakness and imported voting blocs. It was built on vision. Kids in tents aren't vibrant diversity. They're the bill coming due. Time to choose which Australia survives. This reckoning isn't a one government failure - it's a bipartisan policy failure that both sides have fed for decades. This is not racism. This is understanding that we need to help Australians First. If it means fighting through every label , every negative comment every government policy and law, that was legislated to silence us - We will be here for the fight. Australia is our home Australians are not a silent sound bite. We will fight till the end. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ #AustraliaMarches #MigrationMatters #PopulateOrPerish ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ AUSTRALIA'S RECKONING ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
